Do Illegals have full constitutional protections ? (Vanity)

It’s difficult to get a clear answer on this. Google of course front loads everything to the leftist slant first few pages. I tend to use Yandex to search on contentious topics and yes I know it’s Russian but it’s good trust me if you want to find non leftist entries The left seems intent on adjudicating every deportation if possible as well as apply for the courts to challenge every Trump move with 120 plus so far mostly in DC district courts which lean left obviously Trump has been challenged in court more in two months than all presidents in history combined I know the courts have been mixed on the constitution and illegals the same as they are prisoners in BOP custody and kids at school with locker searches etc Any insight is appreciated Thank you

How do illegal aliens have equal protection under the law as Grok states, when they are banned by law from working. There is no exception for general employment in the 14th amendment.

Freedom of speech, religion, and assembly generally extend to everyone in the U.S., regardless of immigration status. There’s no legal distinction here based on citizenship—courts have upheld this implicitly through cases involving noncitizens.

This is not true.

They would have the same limited free speech rights of visa holders, which is that they cannot advocate for terrorism or terrist organizations or be a threat to national security.

But since the punishment is deportation which illegal aliens would be facing anyway, I doubt that they would care about the loss of these free speech rights.

Grok, conflates rights with protections. These are different. While everyone in the world has the same rights not everyone inside the United States has the protection of our Constitution. While foreigners and aliens have the same rights as American citizens they do not have the protection of OUR Constitution. Ideally the government of each respective alien should have some sort of protection for their own citizens. We extend certain privileges such as due process to aliens because that benefits the United States. Of course the status quo has been that foreigners, aliens and even illegal aliens do have the protection of the U.S. Constitution. This has been an absolute disaster for the country.

No. Because they haven’t yet signed away their allegiance to the foreign country they came from. You only do that when you become a US citizen.

The U.S. Constitution only protects U.S. citizens.

Irrelevant question?

How can non-citizens have rights that are constitutionally protected for United States citizens?

No! The idea of constitutional protections for invaders is crazy!

For the better part of 100 years the predominant political opinion has been illegal aliens have constitutional protections. How has that worked out for us? Has it made America demonstrably better or has it been an unmitigated disaster? I believe any objective person would have to conclude that allowing any alien legal or illegal the protection of our constitution to be national suicide.

I think you could have picked a less dismissive word than irrelevant

It is THE question about deporting illegals going on right now

Whether the courts will allow adjudicating every illegals case before deportation

That is precisely what the left and neocons want

It will thwart Trump

Whether we like it or not

As you can tell from the replies here (which is why I asked)

Opinions vary

I had this discussion with talk radio here in Nashville yesterday

I'm of the mind they are not afforded the same constitutional coverage as citizens as well as others excepted like prisoners and students on campus who both also have constitutional coverage limited at times etc

Here is his reply to me fwiw: Constitutional Rights Apply to All Persons: The U.S. Constitution protects the rights of all individuals within the country, regardless of their immigration status. Due Process and Equal Protection: Undocumented immigrants are entitled to due process (Fifth Amendment) and equal protection under the law (Fourteenth Amendment.. -

Yes

The future of America versus the Blob is as much in the hands of John Roberts as Donald Trump

Not inspiring
