Could it be that Tucker Carlson is, at his most basic instinct, a journalist?

Please remind me what it is that a real journalist actually does. They have been so scarce over the last few decades that I forgot!

If nothing else he seeks a basic understanding of friend and foe alike while commenting at times on the basis of his convictions. I don’t see a pretense of objectivity other than his willingness to listen to anyone without interrupting or jumping to conclusions. In that regard he is a good example of how every citizen should be. I’m not sure “journalist” is the right word.
