@SenRandPaul
Someone must make cuts to the budget. That’s why today I'm forcing the Senate to vote on my DOGE 1.0 Amendment to codify the cuts made by @elonmuskand @DOGE .
(Excerpt) Read more at x.com ...
Here's some notes:-
"Presidents of both parties have paid lip service to tackling the national debt
Unlike past presidents, Trump created DOGE to identify wasteful programs and eliminate them.
Despite DOGE working round the clock and finding appalling waste this bill funds the very same programs!
This bill doesn't respect the taxpayer, it continues to throw their money away!
This bill continues the BIDEN levels of spending that caused historic levels of inflation, that caused outrage, that led to the election of a new president!"
Enjoy...
Every Freeper needs to hear this
I did not pay much attention beyond the “shutdown” headlines. So why did the Republicans keep the same spending levels despite what DOGE found? Can someone explain?
I have no answers.
Rand says they have wasted 3 months
Because they’re part of the problem.
Rand is a wacko defective chip off the old block
This is such incredible common sense. Everything Trump/Musk are doing is for nought if a corrupt Congress just keeps messing up everything DOGE is trying to fix. They need to feel the heat from the people.
He couldn’t be more clear and coherent in the speech
These levels of spending are unacceptable or should be
Rand also mentioned the courts he says they will force the president to spend it somewhere else and money never comes back
He says Congress needs to do their job
Here are the Democrats that voted for cloture:
Cortez Masto (D-NV)
Durbin (D-IL)
Fetterman (D-PA)
Gillibrand (D-NY)
Hassan (D-NH)
King (I-ME)
Peters (D-MI) - not running in 2026
Schatz (D-HI)
Schumer (D-NY)
Shaheen (D-NH) - not running in 2026
> Can someone explain? <
My guess: Too many senators don’t represent their states. Instead they represent their contributors and their special-interest groups.
And then there’s the back-room dealing. “I’ll vote for your wasteful spending if you vote for mine.”
The big question now is whether or not Trump will use his veto pen.
“This bill doesn’t respect the taxpayer, it continues to throw their money away!”
A point not mentioned is Trump won’t spend all the money.
“The big question now is whether or not Trump will use his veto pen.”
He will not.
“This is such incredible common sense. Everything Trump/Musk are doing is for nought if a corrupt Congress just keeps messing up everything DOGE is trying to fix. They need to feel the heat from the people.”
Congress is working very close with Trump.
Trump deployed DOGE, which did GREAT work, finding $hundreds of billions of fraud - even in the worst places like USAID. Indeed, DOGE uncovered the Fed money to NGO to Democrat Party corruption pipeline that funds Trump’s enemies.
But then Trump and Congress simply promote yet another deep-state, bloated “continuing resolution” to fund it all, at the same levels as Biden the year before.
To those that hate Rand Paul and Thomas Massie for pointing this out - please explain this to me.
Is there a strategy? What are the constraints? I’m ready to listen....
“ This bill doesn’t respect the taxpayer, it continues to throw their money away!”
A point not mentioned is Trump won’t spend all the money.
****************************************************************
And THAT may be the most important point,
I’ll believe it when I see it.
“I’ll believe it when I see it.”
It helps if you open your eyes ...
“But then Trump and Congress simply promote yet another deep-state, bloated “continuing resolution” to fund it all, at the same levels as Biden the year before.”
See #16
“So why did the Republicans keep the same spending levels despite what DOGE found? Can someone explain?”
They may authorize the funds but there will be nobody there to spend them.
