The Slush Fund Nobody Voted For
American Thinker ^ | 15 Mar, 2025 | Charlton Allen

Washington is an empire of unaccountable money. The real power in this town isn’t in campaign speeches or election-night victories—it’s in the quiet flow of taxpayer dollars into the right hands, far from public view. And while Americans were struggling with inflation, border chaos, and a volatile global stage, the Biden administration quietly orchestrated one of the most audacious financial maneuvers in modern history: a $20 billion green-energy slush fund, funneled to handpicked left-wing nonprofits with no meaningful oversight.

As first uncovered by RealClearInvestigations, the Biden administration’s EPA delivered billions in taxpayer dollars to a select group of left-wing nonprofits, bypassing Congress, financial oversight, and public scrutiny. The RCI reporting helped trigger a wave of scrutiny, prompting the Trump administration to investigate how these funds were offloaded with virtually no accountability.

Officially, the money came from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund—but in practice, it was a political end-run around Congress. Billions in public money were placed in the hands of activists with deep ties to the Democrat power structure.

Now, the Trump administration is fighting to unwind it.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has launched an aggressive investigation into how these billions were distributed, why they were shielded from standard financial accountability, and whether federal laws were broken. But the resistance has commenced in earnest.

The Green Giveaway: Biden’s Parting Gift to the Left

The numbers are astonishing. The Biden EPA awarded $27 billion under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF)—but the real story is where the money landed.

No wonder we are running a two trillion dollar annual debt.

Exactly—we won’t know what the real fiscal issue is until all the waste, fraud, abuse and evil is removed from the system.

It may well be that we are fine when this is done.

Just one example of huge dollars that are on the table:

https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/california-runs-scam-fund-medical-care-illegals-and-still-falls-34-billion-short

States are gaming Medicaid—and it is totally fixable by RFK Jr. making a few minor rule changes and then auditing the big states that are ripping off the system.

I could not find exact figures—but Medicaid is probably 10% of the federal budget—and about half of that is fraud (either state ripoffs described in the article or provider scamming of the system).

The democrats are criminals. Their appointed judges are criminals.

Treat them as a cartel of criminals. No wonder a party like theirs can pay to make it look like they have real support for their criminal activities.

Meanwhile, the country is struggling forward like an animal ridden with tapeworms, slowly starving to death. It’s tragic, and the clearest evidence of all that Democrats hate this country, and hate its people.

This case will go down as absolute proof the DNC is a RICO corrupt criminal enterprise. RICO is the crime and the DNC is the criminal syndicate that needs to be brought to heel.

The whole $1 trillion plus “Infrastructure” bill Biden got passed was 100% filled with “Green” slush funds to activists and written-into-law DEI requirements on all the “Infrastructure” funds.

“The Slush Fund Nobody Voted For”

Bull. There is only one entity in gummit that is to blame in the last 40 years, it is the congress/senate collectively. They constantly raise the debt ceiling and overspend every chance they get. Call it the uniparty, commies, GOPe, RINOs, dems, whatever as it matters not.

And ultimately it is the voters themselves that return these thieves to office. I’ve read recently that the current admin wants to tax only those that make some 150K a year or something, that’s ridiculous. Already some 40% pay all the taxes for at least a couple generations, seems to me that if the lesser income people (the other 60%) paid YUGE taxes like the rest of us in a flat tax (income) they might vote differently then automatically put the dems/uniparty/GOPe in power.

What ever happened to “no taxation without representation”? We have no idea where our tax dollars go, and if Pres. Trump and his admin doesn’t stop this we won’t have a pot to pee in. Here’s hoping he has great success, end this train wreck.

Trump must answer the salient question: whether Biden’s
left political machine has rigged the system beyond repair.

I have come to believe that all the questions will be answered in court once all the money stolen is uncovered and presented. Then the dozens of trials can begin and the prosecutors can begin to display all the evidence.

That will be forth coming in time to destroy all Progressive candidates for the 2028 elections

The fraud and waste in government has grown over the last couple of hundred years to where it is today? To think that it can be eliminated in less than 4 years, is foolhardy!

To understand the sheer audacity of this operation, you have to follow the money. The Biden administration didn’t distribute the $20 billion to states, businesses, or proven energy innovators. Instead, it funneled these funds into the coffers of eight recently formed nonprofit organizations.

No congressional hearings. No debate. No scrutiny. The Biden WH simply cued in leftist cronies that billions in public funds were available. Some of the recipient green groups were just months old.

The checks started flowing. But how did they move the money? The collusion was an outrage.
<><>none of the standard federal disbursement protocols was respected,
<><>the crooked Biden EPA simply offloaded tax dollars
<><>and a publicly traded financial institution....Citibank.....sap-happily cooperated
<><>a banking loophole classified the funds as “non-exchange transactions.”

According to RealClearInvestigations, the Biden EPA’s use of Citibank as a financial intermediary was an intentional maneuver that allowed the administration to classify the funds in a way that minimized government oversight while maximizing the ability to draw down the funds quickly.

Update: The Trump EPA has terminated these questionable grants, cutting off the pipeline and demanding accountability. But unwinding a $20 billion shadow bank for left-wing causes won’t happen without a fight. The Trump administration is demanding answers.

18% always pops up in numerous polls on many issues. Those are the die hard RATs.

You would think there are 52% at least. But there aren’t.

May have been many years ago until the loony elitist progressives took over and then gave birth to the wokeness.

They are the very worst of both parties rolled into one.

I don't think the DNC is a political party. It hasn't been for decades.

It's a money laundering enterprise...start to finish. It attracts and cultivates a crowd of the most venal, self serving and increasingly criminal people who have no allegiance to this country or to their fellow citizens.

They aren't even accomplished criminals because they are so unscrupulous, opportunistic, crude and irresponsible that they routinely get caught.

Once the glare of censure reaches them, they're so immeasurably base that they don't EVEN demonstrate any shame!

If the environmental “constipational crisis” was real, why does it cost billions every year to keep it alive?

As the DOGE folks root out the gubmint folks that signed off on these gazilion dollar give-aways, they should be punished. While such punishment can be a slap on the write all the way to death, I prefer total financial ruination. They lose their job, their pension(s), all assets (maybe except one and only one dwelling), cancelling life insurance policies, etc. Telling a 40-50 year old man that he has to start over and the only job he can get is flipping burgers is traumatic. He now has maybe 15-20 years to replace what he just had taken away and he is starting with less. Many will buy a million dollar life insurance policy, wait out the suicide option time, and then eat a 9mm.

Good riddance.
