Donald Trump is set to ban people from 43 countries from travelling to the US - with visas from Russia being 'sharply restricted'.
The dramatic memo also sees key allies of Moscow placed under heavy sanctions as Belarusian travellers could see their dreams of travelling Stateside slashed, the New York Times reports.
The explosive immigration proposals come as the US president is wrestling with Putin and Zelensky over a ceasefire in Ukraine - warning last night that World War III could 'very easily' erupt if peace talks failed.
Alongside the warring state a vast swathe of nations from across the globe have been told their governments have 60 days to address deficiencies or they will remain on the list.
A memo shows countries divided into three separate groups - including full visa suspensions and partial suspensions.
Many are from the Middle East and Africa, with Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran and North Korea among the 11 who face the most drastic measures.

Donald Trump’s administration is drafting tighter entry rules to the United States including possible bans on some citizens from 43 countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, it has been reported.
Citing unnamed U.S. officials, The New York Times reported that a list had been drawn up of three country categories—red, orange and yellow.
The red list comprises 11 countries whose citizens face a complete ban while the other two lists would face visa restrictions pending reviews, making a total of 43 countries, according to the publication.
Reuters had reported there were 41 countries in the frame for the restrictions.
Newsweek has contacted the U.S. State Department for comment.
Why it matters
Upon entering the Oval Office on January 20, Trump issued an executive order requiring intensified security vetting of any foreigners seeking admission to the U.S, to detect national security threats.
The prospect of prohibiting entry to citizens from dozens of countries has echoes of Trump’s ban on seven Muslim-majority nations during his first term, which sparked angry responses and legal challenges before being upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. The ban was revoked by the administration of President Joe Biden.

Trump gave the State Department 60 days to finish a report for the White House on a list of countries which had deficient vetting and screening information of citizens.

Reported of amazing meetings with regular people and Russian leaders. The time is right for correcting this relationship that has been totally screwed up by US fake diplomats for decades. Russia should be a friend. And Trump doing this now is just more unexplainable stupidity as the US seeks “peace”.
