Hegseth Disestablishes the Office of Net Assessment (ONA)-Deep State entity with Ties to Stefan Halper, RussiaGate, and Flynn Prosecution (VANITY)

On March 13, 2025 Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that the Office of Net Assessment was going to be "disestablished" and its personnel re-assigned within the Pentagon. Many people don't know the key role that the Office of Net Assessment (ONA) at the Pentagon had in the RussiaGate scandal and the political persecution of General Michael Flynn. The key person linking RussiaGate and the Flynn political assassination is Stefan Hapler, a relatively shadowy Deep State entity with ostensible Republican ties, but deeper ties to the Deep State in the FBI, DOJ, and Pentagon.

Here are the three key players in this discussion:

1. COL JAMES BAKER
   • 

     COL James Baker was the head of the Office of Net Assessment (ONA) at the Pentagon. It was COL Baker whose department paid Stefan Halper, and who attempted to silence a Whistleblower (Lovinger) who was asking questions about Halper.

2. STEFAN HALPER
   • 
     Stefan Halper was the person who approached both Carter Page and George Papadopoulos during the 2016 Trump campaign, and set them both up with the FBI for FISA surveillance and prosecution of both of them. It was also Stefan Halper who stopped in at the FBI on 8/11/2016 and gave them disinformation on Flynn that the FBI used to open the CROSSFIRE RAZOR on General Flynn.

3. ADAM LOVINGER
   • 

     Adam Lovinger was a Whistleblower at the Office of Net Assessment (ONA) at the Pentagon who was concerned about large sums of money being given to shadowy or unknown contractors with little to no oversight, to produce reports by people with no specialized knowledge of certain subjects, that were to theoretically be used by ONA for "analysis".

In other words, the money was just going out the door to these people with no professional credentials that would support them being given a contract, and when the reports were viewed, were complete garbage, often being copied verbatim for other sources.

Stefan Halper was given over a million dollars in a four year period, with two payments (to Halper as a ONA Contractor) on September 26, 2016 of two payments for two different "studies" that totaled over $800,000 dollars. The same time frame he was sidling up to Page and Papadopoulos, using them as levers to get FISA surveillance so they could surveil the ENTIRE Trump Campaign using the "Three Hop Rule" (so they could surveil ANYONE that Page or Papadopoulos communicated with, and anyone THOSE people communicated with, which means the ENTIRE Trump Campaign could be surveilled with FISA.

Details are in the body, but the closing of the Office of Net Assessment by Hegseth should be seen as an absolute positive in the fight against America's Enemies within the government from BOTH parties.

Agreed-although Alexander Downer was an Aussie, they were still a member of the “Five Eyes” alliance founded after WWII.

I suspect we need to re-think that alliance. Out of that group, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, I am no longer sure how many of them can be trusted.

Yes...it does sound like it was a clearing house for dirty money to be given to people doing dirty deeds, with no oversight to boot. Free money to dispense, with the thin fig leaf of having people do “studies”. As I said in the body above, they had people simply copying stuff out of Google and submitting it on a company letterhead to get their hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It does make you wonder if they were really doing something else like Halper, or if they were just pocketing the money as grifters to get rich.

NYT says ONA budget is $10-20 million. No doubt just a coordinating agency giving cover to other bureaucracies, such as FBI sedition with the Halper honey pot.

That is my thought as well. I hate this. As I said in my previous post, how many areas in this government are slush funds of millions of dollars, to be dispensed to be used against us by domestic enemies? (Leftists and Deep State)

UK will be Islamic within 5 years. Australia is a woke dictatorship as far as I can tell. The New Zealanders are the same Environmental freaks that they have been for decades and Canada is a lost cause.

I agree. He might not know the structure of the Pentagon from the top or the bottom, but he has people working under him who do, and will advise him.

He may not have experience managing a corporation that would be one of the largest (if not the largest) in the world if the military were characterized as such, but no doubt he can get people with experience who WILL work with him.

I like him, and did from nearly the moment his name came up and I learned more about him.
