I share your view.
Bonus—the federal courts are closed during a government shut-down.
Extra bonus—this is a great time to shut down entire buildings of federal agencies—for good.
Triple bonus—President Trump can choose not to pay federal employees during the shut-down. It is his call.
All it takes is a bit of courage and determination. I am convinced this administration can get it done.
The leftists are going to whine and howl anyway—might as well accomplish great things and not look back.
Criminal courts are not shut down, but there can be some slowing in federal civil proceedings because furloughs if clerks etc which would slow down but not necessarily stop the law-fare.
Judges are considered “essential” employees. I strongly disagree. These people on balance have done more harm than good.
Furloughed employees typically get back pay and shutdowns haven’t saved money in past. Why they should be paid for not working is ridiculous. Never got paid when business shut down for snow days.
Yup. Lock the doors now and permanently after personnel departures to prevent shredding and wiping computers.
Federal employees don’t get paid during a shutdown.
