I’m not familiar with said “Self-Determination Rule” as far as manufacturers of foodstuffs and drugs - the FDA is supposed to keep poisons out of food and drugs - yet we have a LOT of serious issues over the decades...and now they have banned Red Dye #3 due to it causing cancer in rats - but the ban doesn’t go into effect until 2027...allowing cancer-causing materials in foodstuffs because “it makes them look pretty” ain’t doing the job...especially when they banned Red Dye #2 in M&Ms back in the 70s...and all companies are required to report to the FDA what they’re putting in their consumables.
The fda has been a lie for a long time.
I remember it back in 1977 when it permitted ice-cream to be adulterated.
Prior to this ice cream had to have only cream and a small percentage of milk.
Too much milk and it was called ice- milk.
Now ice-cream is thoroughly adulterated. Even premium brands.
Ice-cream was one of the foods that was given to recovering patients. Until its nutrative value dropped.
A Hoodie cup prior 1977 had more value than the chem-clean ice-cream foods of today.
