It makes me detest McCain and his memory even more than I do.

Who or what demonic element would want to exterminate people who have these characteristics?

Do we need some urinal targets of McCain to place beside Joan Fonda’s?

That will only raise the revenue of the bars, to sell enough beer to consecrate them both.

The Alawites deserve no sympathy. The Druze and Christians do. AFAIK the Kurds aren’t targets, probably because their militias didn’t give up and go home the way the Alawite militias did.

This is how wars in the Middle East usually go. Most ethnic wars there involve massacring each other’s civilians until the surviving losers move away. This is called “ethnic cleansing”. Recent examples of it are the cleansing of millions of Sunni Arabs from Iraq 2006-2008, and again from Syria during its recent civil war. UN refugee statistics on the movement of Iraqi Sunni Arabs into Syria and Jordan clearly shows the cleansing of Iraqi Sunnis by Iraqi Shia.

IMO the Alawites and Christians will flee to Lebanon and the Druze to Israel. And the Syrian Sunni refugees pushed out of Syria by the Alawites might return to Syria, or they might give the incoming Alawites the welcome they deserve. It’s a tough neighborhood.

We should stay the **** out of it.

There was once a sizable Christian population there. A minority protected along with all the other non-Sunni minorities by the Assad regime (Havez and son Bashar). An absolutely brutal KGB trained police state. But that's what it took to run the place without the slaughter we're seeing now.

I traveled and did business in the region for over thirty years. Actually traveled by Karnak Bus Co. from Amman, across the border, through Damascus, to Aleppo, and back in 1982. Saw the organized piles of rubble that were all that was left of the city of Hama following a revolt by the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood. We had rest stops in the untouched Christian Quarter there.

What's happening now was entirely predictable.

Tell me why Israel waited until Assad left to reduce his former military to rubble?

I think what really gets me is that for many years, I politely defended McCain, until I realized just what a nasty piece of work he was, especially with his role in the Russia Gate slander.

Well, he is gone now. Jane is still here, and I have always disliked her for her part in things Vietnam.

They didn’t. They attacked the Syrian Army many times. After he left, it makes sense. But over the last ten years they, like us, have bombed Syrian forces many times.... never ISIS.
The effect of us and them reducing the Syrian Army, and it’s ability to stop ISIS and the other wahabbist rebels allowed them to finally win in Syria.

But of course, that was the plan since we created the rebel groups. A shameful operation and episode that resulted in millions of moslem and African migrants pouring into the EU.

The citation I provided proves Israel attacked Assad’s Syrian weaponry primarily after he was ousted.

You are wrong.

There was a man a long time ago who thought it was a great idea to be a Christian in Syria. He was on the road to Damascus. And at first he didn’t think it was a good idea and then suddenly it hit him like a blinding flash.
