“We’re not sure exactly what happened,” Musk told Fox Business’ Larry Kudlow about the attack on his social media platform. “But there was a massive cyberattack to try to bring down the X system, with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area.”
Experts told The Post it was highly improbably that Ukrainian government actors were the perpetrator of such an audacious and far-reaching attack one day before diplomats from Washington and Kyiv meet in Saudi Arabia.

HE DIDN'T SSY OT WAS THE UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT.....HR SAID THE ATTACK CAME FROM THE UKRAINIAN AREA.
Experts my ass. SMH
Think that Musk might know more than he’s admitting but just keeping some info in his back pocket for now?
I trust Elon’s experts more than I trust the Post’s experts
“We’re not sure exactly what happened,” Musk told Fox Business’ Larry Kudlow
It’s funny how the “experts” (and some non-expert Freepers) seem to think Musk and his team are rank amateurs who can be easily fooled by “spoofing”. Go figure.
Well, at the least he’s gotten the “experts” to admit that Ukrainian (or Russian) “fingerprints” can be spoofed. Of course we all knew that because Vault 7 showed that our own CIA can plant fake fingerprints of nations such as Russia. But until now we were supposed to believe that Crowdstrike could absolutely say that Russia gave the DNC emails to Wikileaks.
I wonder where all these “experts” cited today were back when Crowdstrike was claiming Russian hackers.
My bet is that our own CIA - with or without the help of Anonymous who claimed the attack - were involved, either to frame Russia as having spoofed the Ukraine IP’s or just to sabotage ANY negotiations that involve Trump.
I wonder which NGO funded the cyber attack?
Well, it would be very dumb for the Ukranian government to antagonize the man who can turn off Starlink, so the experts are probably right about that.
That leaves Russian operatives and pro-Russian Ukranians as well as Ukranians who want to get rid of Zelensky.
Plus the usual assortment of anarchists and nutbags and other chotic nerds who just like to poke things to see what will happen.
Don’t rule out our own CIA as participants. They are nervous and butthurt about DOGE. Many are unstable sex perverts and sociopaths.
Lots of players could be involved. A consortium of the wicked and the naive.
Fun times.
They are IDIOTS!
“non-expert Freepers”

Well, we certainly do have an abundance of those don’t we?......and on every subject!
-
LOL!
Great idea - would love to know how much Hunter, democrats and other assorted Euro-trash received in kickbacks
Even if it was the Ukrainian government, no one in the national security state nor in the press would ever admit it.
And REPUBLICANS.
I want to know the RINO’s and scum that need to be primaried. McCain may need to be exhumed and put on trial.
“My bet is that our own CIA - with or without the help of Anonymous who claimed the attack - were involved, either to frame Russia as having spoofed the Ukraine IP’s or just to sabotage ANY negotiations that involve Trump.”
Absolutely. Without a doubt. They DO NOT want this war to end.
“with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area”
There’s this neat little thing called a virtual private network.
You can route through another country to hide your IP address.
I guess the “actors” don’t know about it.
Whatever the source, no one is going to learn it on FR.
I was thinking the same. Lots of the usual suspects (and what you might call unusual ones lol).
It could have been Ukrainian hardliners trying to damage the peace talks taking place today.
Another reason Ukrainians (especially the nuttier hardliners) would do this is similar to the reason they wasted a bunch of drones on Russian apartment buildings, car parks, etc., at down this morning local time. To send a message that they have “cards” (although their cards are lousy twos). See? We can mess with your X/Twitter! Don’t you think about messing with our Starlink! Silly? Yes, but so was the drone attack on Moscow, etc. Added bonus: X had been all atwitter over the Kursk debacle yesterday.
But really, as you wrote, it could be any number of rabid dogs, nutballs and cyberhooligans.
“Whatever the source, no one is going to learn it on FR.”
Why not?
We learned that Dan Rather’s ‘fake but accurate’ document was a forgery on FR
