A father and son from Brazil have shared their gender transition story online as they become mother and daughter.
Raphael and Gustavo Batista, 10, from Sao Paolo, Brazil, were born with female biological characteristics but now both identify as male.
Gustavo was the first to start his transition at the age of four which gave Raphael the 'strength and courage' to also face the transition.
Raphael, 38, stopped identifying as female last year and asked to be referred to as male. In September, Raphael posted a clip on Instagram in which he discussed gender identity.
The clip was captioned, translated from Portuguese: 'If I have dysphoria in my body? And the answer is yes.'
Asked if Gustavo influenced him, Raphael told G1: 'It didn't have any influence, but he [Gustavo] gave me strength and courage to face [the transition].'
The pair share their inspiring story with their nearly 25,000 Instagram followers and many are supporting them in their journey.
The father and son have previously spoken out against people using their 'dead names' - the names they went by when they identified as women.

Seems to me the 38 year old he/she/it should be put on trial for sexually abusing a 10 girl.
The world is truly going mad, and at a rapid rate.
If I were a betting man, I would have bet it was the Babylon Bee.
The youngest I’ve heard about, was an 18 month old girl, who supposedly told her mother, “I’m a boy”. Upon hearing her toddler say this, the mother started the transition process.
And what about the medical and mental health professionals who enable all of this? I always wonder, how did we deal with gender dysphoria decades ago? We weren’t doing hormone treatments and surgeries back then.
If that's true, I'm not surprised because it's a logical outcome of Soros-directed liberal Democrat philosophy and policies.
Reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield joke that went something like this: Today, you can't tell boys from girls, the way they wear their hair. I saw this girl with long hair and I asked the mother, is she your daughter? And the mother said, No, that's my son. I said, Well that's easy for you to say because you're his mother. And she responded, I'm not his mother, I'm his father.
The odds of this actually happening? Let me put it this way they should play the lottery.

Glorifying mental illness
No. One does NOT become a father by declaring that one is a male. Fathering is NOT the same thing as mothering.
One question I’ve always had about trans people: after declaring oneself a man, does that woman become an evil, patriarchal oppressor or does she remain a victim?
