Since March 2024, HHS has paid $18 million per month to keep a facility in Pecos, Texas, used for housing for unaccompanied migrant children that was previously at the center of reports of poor conditions.

The payments continued, despite the facility being empty, DOGE said.

"With national licensed facility occupancy now below 20%, HHS was able to terminate this contract, saving taxpayers over $215M annually," the post on X states.

A former ICE employee and Biden transition team member joined Family Endeavors in early 2021 and helped secure a sole-source HHS contract for overflow housing from licensed care facilities.

As a result, Family Endeavors’ cash and portfolio of investments grew from $8.3M in 2020 to $520.4M in 2023.

Gotta hand it to leftists, they know how to maximize corruption. On the one hand they generate mass illegal immigration, while on the other hand they use the crisis as an excuse to fleece half a billion dollars from taxpayers for a scam to supposedly deal with it. And that’s just one scam they were running. The government/country has been full of them.

On Wednesday, Musk predicted DOGE will reach its $100 trillion spending cut goal if they cut $4 billion per day through September

Math (or editing) is hard.

I am busy on other projects at the moment, but it would be good for everybody to see the FORM 990 for Endeavors for past 10 years.

How big was this organization before getting billions from Biden?

The margins have to be pretty good with an operation like that.

Talk about obscene profits.

Must see income data below at link:

Family Endeavors (non profit)
ch.org/non-profit/family-endeavors/

Family Endeavors, commonly referred to as “Endeavors,” is a left-of-center social services organization based in San Antonio, Texas. 1 After
four decades as a faith-based provider of social services to low-income and disabled residents of San Antonio, it underwent two federally
funded shifts of focus under Democratic presidential administrations: first to becoming a national provider of federally funded services to
veterans and their families in the 2010s, and then shifting again in the 2020s after receiving a $75 billion “Indefinite Delivery Contract”
through 2028 with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement to provide services to illegal immigrants
at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The first expansion aligned with the rise of two San Antonio brothers to national political prominence during the Obama administration, with
Rep. Joaquin Castro’s (D-TX) election to Congress and former San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro (D) becoming Secretary of the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 4 5 The latter expansion coincided with a leadership change at Family Endeavors to the organization’s
current CEO, Charles “Chip” Fulghum, who had been the Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the Obama
administration.
