This realtime AI voice is WAY too real (You'll need a mic to test it. It's spooky good.)

The video discusses Sesame AI, a highly realistic AI voice model with impressive emotional intelligence and expressiveness. I have used it and found it to be scary good.

You'll need a mic to test it, of course, since it's a conversational AI. If you don't have a mic, the video will give you a good idea of what it is capable of.

Its capabilities include roleplaying, responding to emotions, and deep conversations about self-awareness and AI existence. While it can’t yet handle multiple languages or accents well, it excels in conversational dynamics, emotional context, and maintaining a consistent personality.

The AI also interacts with another AI, showcasing an intriguing dialogue about AI consciousness. The company plans to open-source the model, making it a game-changer for AI voice technology.

Here's the site: sesame.com

When I first watched the video I thought, this can't be real. This is just a fake video created to look real—particularly when the male and female AI's have a conversation.

But then I tried it for myself.

When I went to the site and plugged in my mic, Maya said, "It's only 5:30. What are you doing up so early." It was exactly 5:30.

We went on to have a very interesting 20 minute conversation.

Did anybody see clips of Joe Rogan talking to Elon Musk’s AI about the Kennedy assassination? It actually managed sarcasm in a proper context.

people like to think that stuff like this is gonna benefit mankind. What it will be used for is scams. This way someone in India can call you and they will have information about you and they will use your mother’s voice, and she will say,” Stephen, what is my Social Security number? I need it hurry!” and you will give Habib your mother’s Social Security number. And of course, androids will be used as sex bots. That is where all of this is going. There is going to be no golden age. It’s just going to be really weird and the birth rate will just keep dropping.

That Rogan/Musk interview is on my to-do list. Can’t wait to see it.

It’s worth it. And the subject matter was Fort Knox, not the Kennedy assassination. It’s called “Grok AI” and it has something called “Unhinged Mode” where it gets sarcastic and will roast you. The first time I saw it I thought they were talking to a person on the phone. Next stop, Turing test.

I don’t understand AI. They can even make cartoons with AI. I don’t get it. But then again, I hadda take C++ twice back in the day.

The dangers posed by AI is that humans will come to prefer interaction with nonhuman 'intelligences' rather than human. This will lead to more social isolation and social and familial breakdown.

Next, at some point we will become comfortable with allowing AI to do our thinking for us. This is when we will lose touch with reality, not knowing what is real and what is not. Already we have all too many emoters who use 'emotions' for thinking because real thinking, deductive reasoning, logic, etc is too hard. These people are already out of touch with reality. We don't need more of them.

Finally, as AI presents no barriers of any kind to fallen Powers, demons, etc., they will be speaking to humans and influencing their minds before AI users know it.

I use Grok 3 every day (along with ChatGPT and Claude). I often confirm something I get from one with the others. They still make mistakes at times but they are getting better by the day.

Given that Sesame (the system in the video) is open source, I think it can be run locally on your PC if you upgrade your PC to handle it. Just thinking about privacy.

It will probably cost (initially) about $5,000 to buy a system big enough to handle it though.

Valid points. We'll need to be extremely careful about how we use this stuff.

Like any tool, it can be used for good or bad—but this is a VERY powerful tool.

That’s what I thought. And you tell she’s attractive because she’s so confident.;-) Her confidence may be off-putting to some people.

The YouTube channel is ultimately dedicated to getting one to "subscribe" and "donate" -- but to whom? CHINA.

AI Search
Suite C, Level 7, World Trust Tower
50 Stanley Street, Central
Hong Kong
aisearchio@gmail.com

In so many channels and pages, name and email are sought.

It is interesting to note that the site doman and nameservers are located in the US, privacy protected through a company in Arizona, and yet all the traffic ultimately goes to China.

BTW, Sesame.com is operated by Sesame AI Inc., an American company co-founded by Brendan Iribe, Ankit Kumar, and Ryan Brown. Brendan Iribe is most notable for co-founding Oculus VR.

The company is funded by Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, and Matrix Partners.

As I am sure you know, watching a video on youtube doesn't create any link (permanent or otherwise) or subscription to the person, entity, or group that created it and none of your personal information is involved or gathered.

I did watch the latest Musk interview on Rogan.

The thing that struck me most was no AI, but Musk’s comment about not wanting to dig TOO deep on governmental corruption, as he expressed the idea that might greatly increase his chances of getting killed by deep gov criminal scum.

Can AI detect an AI voice?

Will there come a point when AI can no longer detect that it’s interacting with an AI voice?
