NO TAX ON TIPS.
NO TAX ON OVERTIME.
NO TAX ON SENIORS' SOCIAL SECURITY.

Overtime is not double dipping.
You already stated he gets paid his salary (and presumably, overtime) while deployed?
Does he get paid for the Federal Task Force work? Or, is he doing that for free?
No. Go back and check your reading comprehension.
He worked on a Federal Drug Task Force. It was funded by the Feds for their overtime. He worked 60-80 hours a week for months.
I merely state that I thought his overtime should be taxed.
He is currently deployed. He gets his 0-4 pay from the Army and the state makes up the difference in his salary. So, he is actually making less.
Coworker's son got a job with a state agency about 6 months ago, so he's still learning the ropes (and the bennies).
The other day he stopped in early to catch up on some paperwork. His supervisor came in, queried what he was doing there and immediately quipped,
"8 hours overtime!!!" (union rules)
So smell what you're shoveling carefully as we make astute observations about issues which seem to escape scrutiny (and for whatever reason has ruffled your feathers merely due to that fact...an OBSERVATION in the form of a RHETORICAL).
And, BTW, it's FAR more than "0.01%." Just because it's not on social media doesn't make it false. /s
Well, don't be surprised when you get the letter from the IRS that your tax case is getting a look see then. I know because that happened to some friends and relatives of mine. They had to pay payments for years to cover the back taxes and fines. Even though they were all just little tips, they add up. And don't forget, the IRS always finds a way to round things up not down.
Just a friendly warning in case this doesn't pass.
If the state is making up the difference between his Army pay and what he was paid as a P.O. and he's not doing the job the state is paying him to do, then he's double-dipping.
That why the Democrats PR lies about “tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires” has been so effect for the last 25 years. As far as the GOP-E bots are concerned those are the only people who should get a tax break
Millions of people voted for President Trump, who would never otherwise look at a GOP candidate, because of those promised tax cuts. Only a total political moron would think breaking that promise was a good idea.
Like I posted earlier in the thread, the Club declares a certain amount per week and has it taxed.
A gift is a gift and I’m ok w/ the irs.
Since at least FDR Democrats have won election after election by telling voters “:Send me to DC and I will get this for you”
Trump flipped the script in 2024 by telling voters “Send me back to DC and here are all the things I will stop them from taking from you.”
As has been the habit of the GOP_E, the usual whiners are now crying that President Trump is keeping his promises that got million of non GOP voters to vote for GOP candidates for a change
The GOP_E is not refereed to as “the stupid party” for no reason. This idiot whining about tax cuts for working people is a prime example of their habitual idiocy. They rather cling to their country club mentality then ever advance their political agenda toward the goal line
AFAIK, that's how taxes on cash tips are handled everywhere, right? I wonder if the people who have taken issue with your post realize that.
I bussed tables at a restaurant when I was young, back when everyone tipped with cash. The waitresses had to share a portion of their tips with us. But, for tax purposes, the restaurant only estimated what we received in tips, so we were taxed on the estimated amount. I doubt anyone on a wait staff (or anywhere else) would report they received more than the estimated amount. LOL. I'm laughing at the thought that anyone who received an extra $100 in cash would report it to the boss to be added to their taxed wages.
To everyone who has taken issue with you here: I ask them to think about all the ways they have earned cash without reporting it: Babysitting? Yard sales? Many people have worked 'under the table' at some point in their lives. People make cash transactions with each other all the time that they never report.
Are you sure that's what Trump means by "no tax on overtime"? I think most people would find that idea more reasonable.
But, when he said, "No tax on overtime," he gave the impression the whole amount wouldn't be taxed.
I know people who are paid about $30/hour, and they work 20+ hours mandatory overtime. Their OT pay is $45/hour. So, their base pay is $62,400, and they earn $46,800 more in overtime.
I suspect most of us believe Trump has promised that entire $46,800 wouldn't be taxed.
If the whole amount is tax-free, that tax break should be extended to everyone else, and people who work multiple part-time jobs for 60+ hours/week should get a tax break on their 'extra hours,' too.
