Elon Musk floats possible pardon of ex-cop Derek Chauvin for being 'unjustly convicted' in George Floyd case

Elon Musk weighed on a movement to pardon former police officer Derek Chauvin, saying the controversial action was 'something to think about.'

Chauvin, the disgraced Minneapolis cop convicted of murdering George Floyd back in 2020, is currently serving concurrent state and federal sentences in a federal prison in Arizona.

Ben Shapiro's The Daily Wire has begun an effort to pardon Chauvin with an open letter to Donald Trump, calling his conviction 'the defining achievement of the Woke movement in American politics.'

The letter claims that Chauvin did not murder Floyd because he was 'high on fentanyl' and 'had a significant pre-existing heart condition,' complaining of trouble breathing before the incident that ended his life.

Shapiro also cites that Chauvin was never accused of targeting Floyd for his race and that 'for large segments' of the video showing the encounter, his knee was on Floyd's shoulder or back, not his neck.

'Perhaps most significantly, there was massive overt pressure on the jury to return a guilty verdict regardless of the evidence or any semblance of impartial deliberation,' Shapiro said.

Musk reposted a video of Shapiro arguing for Chauvin to be pardoned by the president and commented: 'Something to think about.'

Shapiro added that the incident would allow the country to 'turn the page' on the 'Woke' era and end 'the weaponization of the American justice system.'

Elon could threaten to withhold federal funds to Minnesota as long as the Governor fails to pardon this man who was doing his job.

Pretty sure he is also in prison on state charges, this would be political suicide for no reason.

Trump to state governor, “I can’t pardon him, but I can stop all state payments to your state until you pardon him.”

Off hand, I’d say it should be done if Saint George died of drugs and was actually a criminal thug.

Our communist media creates a political narrative and edits or creates facts to fit that narrative. I have a feeling most people know this by now and would accept this pardon as being a good thing.

Ben was at the speech last night, first row seat in the section too. Saw Matt Walsh and a couple other talkers there also.

“””Was it a state conviction?””

Yes. But then they hit him with a long federal sentence because he hurt Saint Floyds feelings.

I think Elon has a good case there. And those claiming Floyd’s case maybe should be locked up.

Thanks for the link, not sure I can watch it as I think it might be too infuriating to see just how overwhelming the evidence was for his innocence, only to have a cowardly jury find him guilty despite all the evidence to the contrary.

I will watch it, but I have to remind myself first that this is Satan’s world, and pure evil exists as we saw in his sham trial and conviction.

Stay in your lane Elon.

And what lane is that never Trumper? One where he is not allowed to express an opinion?

I’m sure you would love a return to the days where right leaning opinions are suppressed. In fact, I know you would.

Floyd was higher than a kite AND the knee hold Cheuvin used was taught to him in training...

Oh? You dont remember it then? I watched it second by second as it happened. You dont remember the pleads "I cant breathe" over and over do you? You dont remember the stream of urine from him that happened immediately after that when he went silent do you? You actually think if Floyd was left in handcuffs..immobilized he would have died? You're high yourself if you do. Yes, Floyd was high on dope. He died from constant 100+ lbs of concentrated pressure on his neck. Its not like he went into a seizure like drugs typically do. If the drugs he did was enough to kill him he would have been dead probably before they even found him...and he certainly wouldn't have been coherent enough to pass the bad check that he was originally arrested for.

wasn't he saying that the entire time? Didn't he fight not to go into the squad car saying he couldn't breathe?

No. Thats not what I saw at all. He never said "I cant breathe" until the last seconds of consciousness under Chauvin's knee.

All Musk said is ‘something to think about.’

Ben is ok at times

Like VDH at times I want to high five him

Other times I’m like “how can you be so stupid or disingenuous”

No so called right of center talker I agree with 100%
