Adrien Brody...Winner for the Best Actor...”The Brutalist”...

“The Brutalist” was OK...A long movie...

His second Oscar for Best Actor...He won his first Oscar for Best Actor in 2003...”The Pianist”...Roman Polanski directed that film...It was a good movie...

Congratulations to Mr. Brody...He had a long speech...He did talk about dealing with “hate” at the end...He did speak out against anti-Semitism...

Broadly, this has been a very pleasant surprise.

The political commentary has been VERY muted for the Oscars.

The speeches have been, in general, tasteful. Some rambling -like the ones who just landed 3 hours before the broadcast. Overall, a B-.

And the REAL shocker? The commercials were better than the ones for the Super Bowl.

A special award to Conan.

The Pianist was a good flick, even if directed by the rapist - and Holocaust survivor - Polanski. Not giving Polanski a pass, but maybe undergoing and surviving the Holocaust totally f***s up a person.

I will not see The Brutalist. Don't want to see homosexual rape depicted on screen. If Brody spoke out about anti-Semitism, good for him.

Although I'm no big fan, I thought Timothe' Chalet would win for A Complete Unknown...

I’ve seen “The Pianist”. An excellent film. I’m encouraging my wife to watch it with me. I’m glad Brody won again. I didn’t see the awards to the end- I’d had enough when Oprah trotted out Whoopi Goldberg.

I’ve had enough of watching the Sodom and Gomorrahites congratulate themselves for being Oh, so superior to America.

An “award-winning” waste of a Sunday evening….
