I had amoebic dysentery and a sinus infection at age 21 in Nepal.

Flagyl and tetracycline cleared them up in about two weeks, but I went from 135 to 115.

Then we went on a month’s trek up to 17,500 feet. I ate two heaping plates of daal, bhat, takari.
