As former secretaries of defense, they should already know that's not how the game is played, but thanks for participating.

If I remember correctly, Obama’s admin and Biden’s admin came in and got rid of every conservative military leader they could find.

It was hardly mentioned when it was them.

The letter — signed by William Perry, Leon Panetta, Chuck Hagel, Jim Mattis and Lloyd Austin

Five idiots who obviously don't know how things work. Proof they should have been fired or never should have served.

> there were no real justifications for the firings <

I just looked it up in my copy of the Constitution. The word “justification” does not appear anywhere in the description of the president’s role as commander-in-chief.

I guess the signers of that letter don’t have copies of the Constitution. Because otherwise they could have looked it up too.

🤔

Let me correct represented the deep state over the past three decades

Don’t care what they want. Tough crap their Leftist/Deep State Neocon buddies are getting fired. That’s the president’s prerogative as per the Constitution.

Did they call for Congressional hearings when Obama fired hundreds of military officers when he was president? Of course not.

They are still using the Democrat playbook. Find something they can use and then attack. They were certainly quiet when Obmama was doing it so what is their real objection?

Perhaps they are losing their ability to control things.

If it has not already happen cancel their security clearance and ban any military personal to communicate with them.

It's chilling and appalling the people who thi o they are important t because they once held a job that was important.

holding an important job in my book, doesn't make you any less a socialist, communist or a$$-hole of a person.

Yes. Let’s start with why Harry Truman fired Douglas MacArthur.

Seriously, these clowns can go pound sand. Trump can fire ANYONE he wants under his command. If they thought a lawsuit would work they would have filed a lawsuit. Calling for a hearing is like pissing into hurricane force winds.

From WIKI:

The Armed Services Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee of the U.S. Senate held a joint inquiry into the military situation and the circumstances surrounding MacArthur’s relief, and concluded that “the removal of General MacArthur was within the constitutional powers of the President but the circumstances were a shock to national pride”.[1] In having MacArthur relieved for failing to “respect the authority of the President” by privately communicating with Congress, Truman upheld the president’s role as preeminent.
