The “Greening” has begun. Between a couple of mild days & some heavy showers last Sunday, the grass is waking up & starting to get scraggly in a couple of places. For sure, I will have to mow some areas by next weekend.
Mom needed a cart to haul stuff she’s trimming off the fences so I tried to start the mower to pull the cart - no luck. Even after being on the battery charger & showing a full charge, no luck. What to do? The company in the area recommended to me for servicing only services what they sell & I don’t have that brand mower. :-(
My brother texted Friday night - he & the SIL wanted to visit today, go to church with us & she is bringing lunch. I asked if he would be trailering Clyde & mom’s golf cart on this trip & he said ‘no’. He had promised to service Clyde before he brought it to me & had not had time. I told him the mower I have won’t start & he said he’d look at it.
Yesterday afternoon, I got a text with a picture .... Clyde, sitting on my brother’s trailer. He had serviced it (oil change, etc), sharpened the blades, power washed it, & Clyde will be here today! Great brother, no? It is such a relief to know I can keep the 3+ acres of grass under control from the get-go this year!
Birds are singing up a storm, lots of sunshine - it’s a beautiful morning!
Qiviut;
In Spring its seems like a green mist starts to rise through the trees. Things like dogwood and red bud begin to color up and stand out like Pink and White clouds in the forest!
Its a great time of year!
Now that’s some brother!
It’s chilly and rainy here today but we are making the best of it. Hubby is back in form and smoking ribs for dinner tonight. I’ll be making green beans, roasted baby potatoes, and a salad to go with that.
We are celebrating 40 amazing married years together today! Hubby’s birthday was Friday, so we went out for a fancy dinner that night. The kids ponied up for that treat!
So much to be thankful for.
Be blessed, FRiends!
