Zelinski lost me today. I have supported him from the beginning, but it rubs me the wrong way when a beggar “demands” anything.

We owe you nothing. I did feel sorry for Ukraine, but not anymore.

How dare they come and demand anything.

What was he thinking to come in and chest bump Trump and JD right there in the White House? This is a real insight into his mindset and the low quality of his staff.

At least every other world leader saw this and learned that things have changed. This is like when Trump slapped that Saudi Prince on the back. The days when we kowtow to the world and show massive deference are over.

Time for lesser countries to start acting respectful.

My understanding is that Ukraine was going to sign over some very valuable mineral rights. If that is the case, then they're not "begging", but rather "trading". So, asking exactly what they were going to get in return for those mineral rights seema reasonable to me.

Now, if mineral rights were not part of the discussion, then that's different.

My theory is that the Rare Earth deal was merely a ruse to get Zelensky publicly humiliated in front of the whole world. Zelensky is the roadblock to peace right now so Trump needed to minimize him to get Midget Castro out of the way
