USA spends one trillion from a 7 trillion budget? That is almost 15%. We are nuts. No wonder we are drowning in debt.

The threshold is not based on a percentage of the budget, it's based on percentage of GDP.

You are right. I stand corrected.
So, all I know is our GDP is now quite a bit less than our national debt.

Assuming our GDP is about 30 trillion, we are at about 3% for military.
