Maryland has pushed forward a bill that would make condoms available within vending machines throughout K-12 schools, leaving hundreds in outrage as they refer to the plan as 'absolutely sickening.'
Introduced by Democrat Del. Nicole Williams of Prince George's County, Bill 380 seeks to repeal a decades-old ban on condoms and other contraceptives being available within vending machines at kindergarten, nursery, elementary or secondary public schools.
The state's House of Delegates advanced the bill as it passed the House vote 89-to-41 on Friday. It is now on the way to the Democrat-controlled Senate for further consideration where it is expected to pass, WMAR 2 News reported.
The forward-movement of Bill 380 has sparked fresh debate around reproductive health, public education and parental rights, especially among Republicans and parental activists.
While supporters argue that the bill will modernize Maryland's reproductive health policies by improving teen access to sexual contraceptives, those against its passing argue that it takes away parental control and prioritizes safe-sex access rather than education.
'Condoms for kiddies,' Republican Del. Kathy Szeliga, of Baltimore County, said before the bill's passing, Fox Baltimore reported. 'This goes too far.'
To this day, Maryland remains one of the only states where selling condoms through school-provided vending machines is criminalized. Criminal Law §10-105 makes the act a misdemeanor offense, punishable by a fine up to $1,000, The Baynet reported.
The state's ban on contraceptive vending machines has been a decades-long debate, as it originated from laws that had aimed to regulate access to protection among the young population.

I all for keeping them out of our
schools.
Leave it to a bunch of evil libturd democrats to come up with something that will ruin the innocence of our children’s youth.
The kids will just blow them up and use them for balloons. I’ve already heard that boys are hitting up the tampon machines and using tampons as ammo for their Nerf guns.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
I knew an underage teenaged boy who had sex with his underage teenaged girlfriend and when her dad found out, she accused him of essentially raping her.
So now he's been slapped with a sexual offender label for life, after acting on normal teenage boy impulses that they are encouraged to do.
What an atrocity!!!!!!
The left encourages promiscuity and then ruins the boy's life forever for it. I actually felt sorry for him. That sort of thing done by adults disgusts me.
You don’t watch or read the news a lot, huh?
There are SO MANY male/female STRAIGHT teachers abusing kids that I lost count
So many female teachers getting PREGNANT that I lost count.
Look it up if you want. You’ll be shocked.
Why not just put meth and crack vending machines in the bathrooms as well?
Is there some other kind of contraceptive?
Adding redundant words does not make this pantload smell any better.
They got away with it in spite of radio ads by concerned parents because the brief description n the ballot ONLY said that the bill was to make sure women could still murder unborn humans in the wake of the SCOTUS removing Federal permission. But the actual bill contained all the rest of that trans wickedness. I doubt more than 20% of the voters actually understood what they were voting for.
