Why does a 13 year old have a phone and why does she have it at school
Kids should not be on phones during class time.
Good grief just ban them anywhere but their lockers the whole day. Let parents call the office and get the kid down there if they must contact them. Its a huge distraction to learning in the classroom. They have crappy attention spans as it is. Don’t need more attention grabbers.
My 13 year old is the only one in his class without a smartphone.
He complains bitterly that kids only communicate via snapchat and he is left out.
I’m sticking to not giving him a smartphone before 16, but my wife is fed up with the whining and “everyone else has it”. And the fact is that outside of a few concerned families like ours, I see smartphones in the hands of every child aged 10 or over
