Donald Sutherland, Jane Fonda and Tom Hanks, great actors in good and great movies. Pure D spicable.
“Forest Gump is on my list as one of the all-time WORST movies I’ve ever had the displeasure to have to sit through...”
Right on. It got boring after a while, and Jenny dying from AIDS was ridiculous. That was the final straw for me.
His last good movie....ha.
It probably would have been better for me to say that he was the weakest actor. I know that he,along with everyone else, was under unthinkable pressure...but Hanks’ acting was weak, unlike those of his co stars.
I would agree it was a bad.
I would qualify by saying that it was one of the WORST movies that was a commercial success.
That said I have the pleasure of saying that without ever seeing it.
Mentally challenged protagonists get old fast.
I did see Rain Man and left with a blah feeling.
I think the definitive film on the mentally challenged was Charly based on the novel Flowers for Algernon and for which Cliff Robertson deservedly won an Oscar.
Also, stupid is as stupid does.
mike zeroh makes everything up...he is actually a comedy provocateur
She still says in Indiana Jones something like “I was a child!”
However, I have met Karen Allen (very briefly) and she was the nicest most genuine person.
I can attest; I encountered Hanks briefly when he and Denzel Washington were shooting a film in my neighborhood at the time, which was noted for its friendliness. Denzel couldn't have been nicer; while Hanks was gratuitously rude and snotty, for no apparent reason except that he could.
- Saving Private Ryan
- Castaway
- Sully
Cons:
- other stuff like the current self-inflicted wounds
I liked him in Forrest Gump. Too bad. He had a likable personality. He was an everyman, sort of like your neighbor. You'll grab a beer with him.
Tom Hanks is 68 years old. So in other words, he's spending too much time in Hollywood. Out of touch Elitist. Perhaps he was not like that when he was younger?
We should establish a MAGA version of Hollywood. I think it'll be a huge hit. All the movies coming out from Hollywood nowadays are crap. There's nothing worth watching for most part.
If you want to use comedy to make a political point it needs to be funny. That Black jeopardy sketch was not funny in the least and the Tom Hanks character suddenly appeared at the end just to bluntly slur Trump supporters.
Agreed.
I think that you're confusing that with "The Big Bang Theory."
They're both about nuclear physicists researching sub-atomic particles.
Regards,
Is that how I spelt it? Lol!
Well, chatting about Bosons sounds far more uplifting than dabbling with Bosoms, as a subject matter, that is.
I wish I could tell the rest of my story, it was a few years ago but it could embarass my friend because it’s so specific.
I think the tabloids would love it. Not salacious, just super obnoxious behavior that got him banned from that house. Even Hank’s wife yelled at him to stop it and act like a man.
Oh, wow. I guess he has a lot of people fooled. Thanks for sharing thd story so I can avoid anything he does!
