Update on Delta 4819 - Who were the pilots?

This video has 3 million views. There are questions about the qualifications of both pilots. Author indicates it is usually standard procedure for the captain to land in difficult conditions if the first officer is inexperienced even if the first officer is flying the plane. They were landing with heaving crosswinds as well as snow. Pilot was supposedly a simulator trainer. First officer was 26-year old pretty girl with limited experience. Delta had tried to remove another woman pilot as mentally ill because she complained about safety problems.

So it was the young woman who was most likely flying, while the more experienced male pilot was on the radio. Not to jump to any conclusions, of course. They haven’t told us anything yet.

Heavy crosswind landings are no joke. It is an absolute wonder these accidents do not happen everyday.

Once again, it was not a heavy crosswind.

The wind was ONLY 30 degrees off the nose and ONLY 23 knots gusting to 33 knots. That’s ONLY 12 to 16 knots of crosswind.

Something else happened.

One observer noticed that it looked as though when the plane gets closer to the runway,
the right landing gear is lower than the left landing gear ......and it hits the runway first.

Runway 23 means the runway heading is 230 degrees.

And if the left gear was not all the way down “locked” it would cause this. But there are safety indicators for the gear that tells the crew. If these indicators were working properly. Maybe they were not working properly, maybe this was one of the “Safety issues” mentioned.

47 years in the business. I have a little knowledge about it.

ATC: Endeavor 4819, the winds are 270 at 23 gusting to 33, runway 23 cleared to land.

Winds are reported referencing magnetic north and the magnetic heading for Toronto Runway 23 is 239 degrees. That makes it a 30 degree right crosswind.

Simple trigonometry dictates the 50% of the wind will be crosswind and 86.6% will be headwind. It’s the old sine/cosine trick. I used to do it in my head on a regular basis.

How unusual is it for them to hide and not tell who the pilot was?

I’m guessing it is incredibly unusual?
Why is it allowed to hide who it was?

But the thing is, who was PRESSURING the female to be in control. Was it the pilot, the airline, or maybe the female herself, ready to file a complaint and possibly cost the pilot his job if he wouldn’t let her crash the plane?

In other words, DEI is a culture, a sick culture, and it is EVERYWHERE.
