They should lose, in my opinion.
Greenpeace has polluted the public discussion with outright lies for decades. When their lies incentivize people to perform illegal acts, when they encourage those acts by making the criminals into heroes, they have crossed the line and should be held accountable.
Alex Jones has been bankrupted for far less. (not that the suit against Jones was legitimate.)
