Trump should rescind Clinton EO 12986, indemnifying members of the IUCN (such as Greenpeace) from civil liability. It was unconstitutional anyway.

Energy Transfer brought a similar federal lawsuit in 2017, arguing protesters had violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (Rico) - an allegation more often made against organised crime groups. A judge dismissed the case.

evidently another judge did not..................

The organisation "could face financial ruin, ending over 50 years of environmental activism"

Make it so.

The organisation "could face financial ruin, ending over 50 years of environmental activism" if it loses, it also says.

No. Their USAID spigot has been closed.

“Greenpeace says it could be forced into bankruptcy if it is ordered to pay the approximate $300m (£237m) in claimed damages.”

Let’s hope so.

They should lose, in my opinion.

Greenpeace has polluted the public discussion with outright lies for decades. When their lies incentivize people to perform illegal acts, when they encourage those acts by making the criminals into heroes, they have crossed the line and should be held accountable.

Alex Jones has been bankrupted for far less. (not that the suit against Jones was legitimate.)

Huge amounts of $$$ funded this protest.
Hundreds were bussed in from Minneapolis 500 miles away and paid to protest
