... with a couple of caveats and warnings.
- Newer application software, and newer releases of older software, may not run on Windows 7. Drivers for peripheral devices will probably complain or not work correctly.
- Win7 is profoundly dangerous to use on the internet, because the Bad Guys have had 5 years to figure out all the ways to get their malware into your Win7 computer and bugger it.
That said, I have a virtual machine (VM) of Win7 that I use for certain older programs. I DO NOT use it for going on the internet.

Woops- i shoudla kept reading lol- why not use it online? The snapshots in Vm should protect it if it becomes infected- and once you disconnect, you can revert to earlier time quickly- are there more dangers liek viruses breaking through VM’s and infection the host?
