Patel instructed agents at the bureau to disregard an email Musk sent to workers earlier on Saturday, titled: 'What did you do last week?'
Musk's email ordered workers to reply to the message with five bullets detailing all of their accomplishments at work in the past week and to cc in their manager.
Not long after, Patel overruled Musk's memo with his own message, making it clear that the FBI 'is in charge of all of our review processes, and will conduct reviews in accordance with FBI procedures.'
'When and if further information is required, we will coordinate the responses. For now, please pause any responses,' he wrote.
Patel's interference is one of his first

Let the demonrats put their “Democracy” where the sun don’t shine...
I feel you are all misjudging the situation based on a shit-stirring press article. The Daily Mail is taking the position, “Let’s you and him fight.”
Screw the press. Musk and Patel will find their respective roles and they will likely work quite well together.
See my above post. This is merely press shit-stirring. Don’t fall for it.
I have to say that Musk’s request land in the same territory as self evaluations. Patel doesn’t need another irrelevant piece of paper to determine who he should keep.
Well, there’s Musk’s own AI called “Grok 3” and he would absolutely have all records of that. ha
If I were Patel, I would look at performance certainly but the biggest predictor for firing would be from the information—“ who hired/sponsored this guy/gal.”. If Obama or Biden did, then bye bye
If I were the FBI employee, I would write:
1. Data Masked.
2. Data Masked.
3. Data Masked.
4. Data Masked.
5. Data Masked.
Well said. I cannot believe it, someone else who sees what I see. One thing we are not going to see him address is anything having to do with the Technology Industrial Complex or privacy rights. Musk doesn’t do anything unless it is going to benefit himself or his industry. I’m just afraid that by the time people wake up it will be too late...

Ha! What percentage of FedGov employees could even completely and honestly answer those items???
Not many, is my guess.
This worm looks DEI. Replace him with someone who understands whay Trump is trying to do.
Whoa! What rock have you been living under?
Remember too-the ‘media’ wants desperately to drive a wedge into the Trump machine
oh definitely
Kash has the institution knowledge of who are the white hats and who are the black hats in the FBI. He does not need every FBI employee distracted filling out surveys and questioners.
Musk will be very necessary in other areas within the FBI but he should stay out of enforcement operations of which he knows nothing.
Elon has done great, great things, out of government, now in government. However, he has shown flashes of thinking he is capo di tutti capi, and if none of his equals (equal in service to the Don) pushes back, eventually his ambition will cause a mistake that hurts the boss.
Good for Kash Patel.
The fbi needs something different that 5 points which works in another way.
different ways to the same goal.
"Captain York! When you command this regiment - and you probably will - COMMAND IT! Your saber, sir!"
The false claim about paying SS to people over 150 years old was a mistake. How serious it turns out to be remains to be seen.
I think a huge benefit if not THE benefit of Musks email is to trap upward of 100,000 “employees”. Now in a panic cause they can’t access the necc email system need to respond, to begin with. Technically they are not Govt employees. Therefore have no access to the essential email to respond. But they’re getting are collecting salaries thru various nefarious means they were given access to
