Such smart TVs as the Samsung with versions in 2008 and more in 2012(plus laptops and smart phones) have had not only tracking capability for service providers such as streaming subscriptions, but have had cameras looking at you.
And watching your internet searches unless you used a VPN. If the Left regains the government it could use the information when you decide what to watch. Including your grimacing or smiling as you watch various TV ads.

You’re right and wrong. Free speech is good and lying to interfere with an election is bad. Lying/slander and defaming are bad.
I guess you don’t like freedom of speech either. Don’t like it? Don’t watch it. It’s not hard.
Trump is right to sue these liars and slanderers, but if he really believes they shouldn’t be allowed to broadcast, period, then he just comes off as a cross between Mussolini and Hector Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

No he is not. Calling them a threat to democracy for spewing lies isn’t culling their right to do so. But slander is a legal matter.
I think the “mainstream” media are abusive to the American people, but I don’t like the whole “Our Democracy” canard. I soured on that term when I realized “Our Democracy” meant “Our Rule” during the last administration.
Who knows? Maybe Trump does actually mean Democracy instead of Rule.
Go after them in court then. Like he did with ABC. I’m all for it. It’s the lack of accountability that has allowed free speech to get out of control. People should be allowed to say almost anything as long as they are held to account for it. Can’t yell fire in a theatre or incite violence for example. Hold them accountable. But when I say I support more free speech than somebody else and the response is to shut up and go away I think they just proved my point.

I agree he can say they are a threat. He can say whatever he wants also. I got the impression that he wanted to use the power of the presidency to eliminate the networks ability to broadcast. You know. Like Facebook and Twitter and cancelling and deplatforming and all the things we said were wrong. They still are. Just because we are now in control does not make it right.
