BREAKING NEWS Trump declares 'See you in court' in brutal transgender face-off with Democratic governor at White House

Donald Trump engaged in a furious row with the Governor of Maine over transgender athletes during a fractious meeting at the White House.

Democrat Janet Mills came face-to-face with the president at a session of the National Governors Association in the State Dining Room on Friday.

Trump mentioned his recent executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in girls and women's sports, which prompted Mills to stand up and object.

'Are you not going to comply with that?' Trump asked of Mills.

She responded: 'I'm complying with state and federal laws.'

Trump said 'Well, we are the federal law' and added that 'you better do it because you're not going to get any federal funding at all if you don't.'

Mills countered: 'We're going to follow the law sir. We'll see you in court.'

Trump hit back, telling Mills his administration would 'see you in court' and the case would be 'an easy one'.

He then indicated that it would be the end of her career.

'Enjoy your life after governor...because I don't think you'll be in elected politics,' the president said.

The Democrats have chosen a losing issue

Boy howdy! How could the Democrats have failed to notice that it was ads addressing this very issue late in the campaign that turned a close election into a rout?

The Cumberland County Republican Committee put this statement to the press tonight.

Newly Elected Cumberland County Committee
Supports Title IX Executive Order

On Tuesday night, the Cumberland County Republican Committee elected Charles Ellis of Westbrook as Chairman to lead the committee. By Thursday, Maine came under fire for its defiance of President Trump’s Title IX executive order, which expressly prohibits men from playing on girls’ and women’s sports teams – “as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth.” The new CCRC leadership stands behind Maine women and their right to compete on a fair playing field and to preserve their privacy in locker rooms and restrooms. They fully support President Trump’s response to cut off federal funding to Maine in light of this stubborn disregard for the President’s Executive Order protecting women’s sports.

Title IX was enacted in 1972 and prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity that receives federal funding. It was a watershed movement for girls and women and their participation in sports increased exponentially in the more than 50 years since its enactment.

The irony of a female Governor refusing to honor the wishes of its young female athletes and to dismiss the shoring up of Title IX to protect these women is not lost on most Mainers.

The CCRC urges parents to make their voices heard at School Board meetings, with school administrators and to the Maine Principals’ Association and will support them whenever and however they can.

. . .

With its new leadership team in place, the CCRC will fight to protect women and women’s sports in the State of Maine, which are currently under assault by Governor Mills and Democrats in the Maine State House, who appear to be actively thwarting President Trump’s agenda. This is not surprising in light of the resistance and lawfare that Maine democrats attempted to exercise prior to the election. The CCRC knows they have their work cut out for them, yet they feel energized with the support of a President that won a national mandate in November and will use these headwinds to energize their fight ahead.

The Democrats have chosen a losing issue and he is stuffing it down their throats

I'm loving it.

Could you in your wildest hallucinations ever imagine this kind of toughness from a Bush, or a Romney, or a McCain?

It looks like the only court order that is facing total defiance is the one ordering grants reinstated.

That is a bridge too far and must be resisted tooth and nail.

All other orders are “obeyed” and then circumvented in some clever way while appeals are ongoing if there is anything left to appeal.

This is the classic “choose your battles” tactic—the same one employed with this state of Maine issue.

President Trump’s strategies are classic Sun Tzu.

—Shape the battlefield
—Choose the battlefield
—Retreat when it will improve your total battlefield condition
—Attack only when and where you are strong and your enemy is weak—then ferociously fight and crush the enemy

etc etc etc

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”

Sounds like every leftist I’ve ever heard about.

Perhaps, hence the higher pitched voices… but they use what they have at ten times the frequency of men!

She can run for reelection on keeping boys in girls’ bathrooms and showers.

I can’t wait for Minnesota Governor Tampon Tim Walz to get a similar beat down.

Notice that transgenders are no longer able to bully people, having the full support of the government and the press and Hollywood. They better get that look out of their eye.

when was the last time a sitting president got into it this intensely with a sitting governor on national tv?

it is entirely possible he wants to goad her into suing as soon as possible, if his team feels that such as case would be a good case to have ruled on.
