Donald Trump engaged in a furious row with the Governor of Maine over transgender athletes during a fractious meeting at the White House.
Democrat Janet Mills came face-to-face with the president at a session of the National Governors Association in the State Dining Room on Friday.
Trump mentioned his recent executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in girls and women's sports, which prompted Mills to stand up and object.
'Are you not going to comply with that?' Trump asked of Mills.
She responded: 'I'm complying with state and federal laws.'
Trump said 'Well, we are the federal law' and added that 'you better do it because you're not going to get any federal funding at all if you don't.'
Mills countered: 'We're going to follow the law sir. We'll see you in court.'
Trump hit back, telling Mills his administration would 'see you in court' and the case would be 'an easy one'.
He then indicated that it would be the end of her career.
'Enjoy your life after governor...because I don't think you'll be in elected politics,' the president said.

These people do not know how to pick their battles.
The problem for them is that they’re hardcore base will walk if they do not go to the mat over crap like this
Outstanding news.
Can we use the illegal invaders as target practice for our troops?
Lol.
This was during a mulit-state governors meeting at Mar-a-logo In February with all her fellow governors in attendance to witness Trump slapping her down. It was so masterfully done and extemporaneous.
If there’s a Trump highlight reel, this should be on the list.
Apparently, the democrats think that judges rule the country and NOT elected officials. So much for their democracy claims...
I know we are a republic, but all you heard was democracy from the democrats, while replacing their elected candidate with no vote, and now a continual judicial drumbeat.
This is how fascism starts, something they have been accusing President Trump of ever since his first ELECTION!
I was just discussing with a work colleague that the democrats game plan is just bash President Trump and take the opposite side, no matter how insane.
One woman in congress said Americans don’t want a $5000 return of their money. Seriously, do they have no self awareness at this point?
Since she was attacking him personally, it got the point across...
The Democrats judge gambit is already turning into a joke—and it will look even sillier over time.
It is physically impossible for judges to issue the millions of orders necessary to micro-manage the executive branch—even if they wanted to do it.
“You can’t deport illegals to Gitmo.
OK, Judge.”
Then you deport them to Venezuela!
“You can’t cut funding to transgenders in Sri Lanka.”
OK, Judge. We fired the folks administering the grants and took away their computers. But—we are working on it. Promise.”
Lol.
Typical harridan that would screech hysterically at people not wearing masks.
Who cares, the message was sent and received with no interpretation necessary........Sheesh!
Savage, No apologies.
One eighty-degree misdirection/projection at it's finest.
Trump refrained from saying something about her looks.:)
I would have guessed that the lungs would be the one organ women excelled at.
“The Democrats have chosen a losing issue and he is stuffing it down their throats.”
Well said.
Not with live ammo. Maybe those rubber slugs . . .

Yeah, that was masterful.
I don’t think President Trump was wrong there. The Executive branch of government is supposed to enforce the law.

This happened today at the White House. I hardly think the President is going to invite the democrats to Mar-a-lago, nor would most of them go.
From the article “At the meeting with governors in the State Dining Room”
As for Janet Mill, she will have just turned 80 when her term ends on January 3rd, 2027. I don’t think she will be seeking any other offices and will quite nicely on her govt pension from 16 years of full time employment and additional legislative service and her husband probably left a nice nestaige from his real estate development business.
