When we moved to Georgia, I WANTED to like boiled peanuts. I really did. They were sold at my son’s Little League games.
So I bought a bag, and ate them.
They weren’t very good.

There’s good and bad in everything. Some people just boil some peanuts like they were boiling an egg. Doesn’t work that way.
Gotta have some spice and flavor.
Try a different place for more flavor...............

My wife was born and raised in North Carolina. She thinks boiled peanuts are nasty. I tried them once when we were visiting her family; they weren’t that bad, but I prefer them roasted.
Never seen boiled peanuts out west.

We moved to Arizona, so I cannot get Georgia boiled peanuts anymore. Spice and flavoring would help, but I didn't care for the texture.
Now, Georgia pecans are fantastic. Every November I would stock up on the new crop at the Ace Hardware store. Great out of the container, or even better when my wife made them into a Pecan Pie. Pecan Pie. Yum.

Nor have I. I also prefer my peanuts roasted, or in the form of Reese's peanut butter, or peanut butter sauce on ice cream.

I’ve heard of these but never tried them. They sound disgusting.

I heard that many years ago through South Carolina Biological Services put up a marker by a peanut farm and someone read the sign (SC Biol Serv) as cooking instructions, soak, boil and serve. /sarc

God bless those who came up with Boiled Peanut Day, but Heaven only knows why they picked February 21. Fresh peanuts aren’t even ready to harvest for a while.
I’m a boiled peanut lover. I make decent ones. If you don’t like them, that’s your business, but IMHO, they are a true delicacy of snack foods.

I have tried them once. They were OK. Reminded me a bit of edamame.

I had them a couple times when I lived in Virginia.
Just to try them and see what the fuss was about.
I didn’t really care for them either.
