Media Attacking Trump Over Ukraine

Posted on 02/19/2025 1:45:29 AM PST by Recovering_Democrat

Just caught some local Miami media saying Trump "falsely" accused Ukraine for starting the conflict with Russia.

Don't know what comments they're talking about, but there was no context given...just a Democrat party talking point.

Is this what the national news is doing too? Just happened on Tuesday night.

It was ambiguous about his comments. He was stating a fact, and not ascribing blame.

It was in the context of Zelenskyy “inviting” Russia to invade by his actions at the time. PDJT mentioned the provocative “threat” by Zelenskyy to join NATO, and doing nothing when Russia massed their troops on the border.

I’ve thought about it for several hours, and the sense of blame came through the headline at The Hill. The story just recited the facts. I did read that PDJT also included Biden in the explanation and said Russia would have never invaded if he’d been President. It would seem to me that any blame was on Biden in his statement. Someday when we get to heaven I’ll ask him. But, for now, it has no relevance other than to attempt to sway public opinion.

Just sayin’

The media is desperate to turn public opinion against President Trump. Musk's AI is going to uncover the shenanigans of the money laundering operation that is the US government budget. Will it surprise anyone to find out that that operation was to the benefit of the Democratic Party and its hierarchy?

What the media continues to show is a complete detachment from the American people. Except for a few Zeepers and Neo-cons. No one in the US cares what happens to the Ukraine. To most of us it was a senseless waste of human life.

President Trump has already done an end around play on Zelensky, and the Media, with the call for elections if Zelensky wishes to take part in peace negotiations. Zelensky can't have elections because he would lose. So President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio only need to remind the press that Zelensky refuses to let the people of Ukraine decide. You can say that Putin is elected under a sham election but, hey, at least he holds a sham election. Zelensky can't even hold a sham election. He is that unpopular.

I sense (I have no real evidence) that the Nato countries don't want to pick up the bill for the Ukraine war should the US decide to stop funding it given bad faith from Zelensky. The media by harping on this is just going to get a worse deal for the Ukraine and speed the process up. But we all know they don't care about the Ukraine either. It's all a game to them. A game even though hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost.

I’d label the claim as a taunt by Z-man in pushing for NATO status (clearly known to be a sour point for Russia) more than clear fact.

At any point, Z-man needs to allow new elections and let the Ukrainians decide what to do.

It’s the DNC talking point AND the Zeeper talking point.
Curious that, but yeah.

Why do they even waste their time? I don't get it. They're paid for shills and there is no doubt. The conspiracy is their collusion and not our theory any longer.

Their total demise is coming. They will not be able to operate under these conditions without funding and those billionaires that's been using our money to subsidize their lies are not going to use their money to keep them employed or the lights on. Not to mention the advertisers who are going to abandon them.

Personally I can't wait. I'd love to have a bonfire, with fireworks, a barbeque, a band and throw some salt on the floor and dance all night.

There is reality and there are talking points. Afghanistan was very real. An ALSO a bunch of talking points. And that reality did hurt Biden.

If it goes badly in Ukraine then it will very likely hurt Trump. That is a significant risk. Little blonde kids in refugee columns rushing to the Polish border is going to be a bad look.

German media, too!

Donald Trump attackiert Ukraine-Präsident: "Ihr hättet nie anfangen sollen!" Trump macht Selenskyj zum Kriegsschuldigen.

The link will probably "die" shortly.

The article itself is totally devoid of substances. It insists that Trump blames Ukraine for the conflict, but offers no details as to the time or place President Trump is alleged to have said this, and no direct quotes.

Shameful!

Regards

No matter what Pres. Trump does or says, the libtards will object and become traumatized, victimized, and stark raving mad. When ever I see a group of rebelling dems I see a bunch of weird looking people that look like they have rabies. Nothing normal about them. loony toons, toys in the attic, batshit crazy.

You may be recovering from something, but it’s not from being a Democrat.

Putin tried to overthrow the Ukraine government. He failed. Which is why there is a war in Ukraine.

Zelensky is running to Trump’s enemies in the media to criticize his approach. We’ve all watched Trump for 10 years. Did you think that would bring Trump closer to Zelensky? Zelensky is a very poor negotiator. You have to understand the person on the other end of the negotiation. In contest Trump is saying this didn’t have to happen.

As far as Trump is concerned, the US has provided “close to $300bn in aid for Kyiv and it is payback time.” His price? As The Telegraph revealed this week, it is an incredibly steep one. The US has demanded what amounts to an economic colonisation of Ukraine, with significant rights over its mineral resources, oil and gas resources, ports and other infrastructure.

The demands have caused panic in Kyiv and amount to far more than what officials are willing to agree to. However, one bargaining chip Zelensky himself has proffered is access to $500bn of Ukraine’s national resources, including what Trump has called are “tremendously valuable” minerals scattered throughout the country’s sprawling but partially occupied territories.

These minerals offer a tantalising promise: the ability for the US to break its dependence on Chinese supplies of critical minerals that go into everything from wind turbines to iPhones and stealth fighter jets. With Washington in a “great power” competition with Beijing, Ukraine’s resources – worth an estimated $15 trillion – may theoretically come in handy.

The strategic significance of Ukraine’s mineral resources “cannot be overstated”, according to publicly-available Nato briefings. Its vast reserves span more than 100 metals across some 20,000 deposits, including several that have been identified as critically important by both the US and Europe. They include graphite, lithium, beryllium and uranium, as well as rare earth elements such as lanthanum, cerium and neodymium.

Many are crucial for modern defence, green energy and aerospace technologies – but global supplies are dominated by China. Against this backdrop, the European Union published an action plan to diversify the sources of its critical minerals in 2020 and struck a partnership to cooperate with Ukraine to develop resources the following year.
