President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that for the first time, Ukraine sees China's interest in ending the war.
Zelenskyy said this during a video conference with media representatives, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"It is important for us to talk to the leaders of China, to help put pressure on Putin to end the war. We are seeing, I think, for the first time, China's interest. I think this is mostly due to the fact that all processes are now accelerating. We cannot be against countries, especially countries of the Global South, being interested in helping Ukraine and putting pressure on Russia to end the war," he said.
In particular, he called the meeting between the Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference important.
"I believe that this is an important meeting and after this meeting, the dialogue can be continued at a different level," he said.
Regarding the possibility of China participating in the peace talks, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is for the presence of serious players, but only those who are ready to take responsibility for security guarantees, assistance to Ukraine, stopping russian dictator vladimir putin and investing in the restoration of Ukraine should be at the negotiating table.

Gee, I wonder why?
that would be people not propel. My bad.
Looks like Zelensky has put Ukraine’s minerals rights up for bid.
Rare earth elements? When there’s ‘stuff to be had’ the Chinese show up.
Under Biden and his gullible idiots and greedy grifters, Ukraine would have walked away with our billions and thrown kickbacks to ‘the few’... in DC.
Trump says the ‘US gets a cut’ for what taxpayers put out. So Zelensky wants a bidding war? How charming. Maybe WE should ask for ALL our money back for assisting that corrupt hellhole.
It’s not just the minerals that Zelensky just put up for bid. Also oil, gas and port of Odesa operations. As well as post-war reconstruction contracts.
there’s no BID
He’s Trump’s b...h now you fool :)
It is all the more interesting as this short article specifies "Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is for the presence of serious players, but only those who are ready to take responsibility for security guarantees...."
President Trump isn't taking "responsibility for security guarantees." So far, the EU and their Weimar+ haven't taken "responsibility for security guarantees." China has not expressed its intention to take "responsibility for security guarantees."
Unless you have citations to show that Europe and/or China will take "responsibility for security guarantees." Have you?
Where’s Putin? Hasn’t been seen in 2 weeks.
Time for us to do what we should have done. Use Russia ad a check to red China.
I haven't the faintest idea. Maybe he's in a bunker, just like your Zelensky.
Was Biden's 'plan' to have United States taxpayers pick up the tab for rebuilding Ukraine? Didn't Biden and Democrats mentioned that possibility? US taxpayer paying for rebuilding Ukraine?
Of course now it would cost a lot more than diamonds and cash for a large family and big fat subscriptions for MSM outlets to 'look away'... Zelensky wants a bidding war. So much for gratitude..
Zelenskyy is a POS. Always was and always will be. Fortunately for us, President Trump is well aware of that fact. Zelenskyy is an amateur compared to President Trump, and he may have to find that out the hard way.
So, who do you think Trump was talking to on the phone in his call with Putin if it wasn't really him?
