To quote W.C. Fields: "Death, where is thy sting?"
Or "Jesus Christ, Superstar": "Always knew that I'd be an opossum!"

I just read this post to my wife and granddaughter. They both liked it a lot. 😄

Opossums also try to run across the road to beat oncoming cars. Just to get to the other side.

Andy Griffith Show where the fly landed on one of Aunt Bee’s terrible home made pickles.
Barney: “Shoo, fly!” Then “It’s dead.”

I remember that one. They had to act like they liked them.

Remember those Alka Seltzer commercials where they said ‘I can’t believe I ate the whole thing ‘?

Bobby Kennedy is correct. Our food is poison!

My husband can’t stand possums. I try to remind him that they kill snakes and eat ticks.
But they also eat the cat’s food, and if there was a cake out there, they’d eat that too.

Then they bought store bought pickles and ate them all because it was cheating so Clara won her 13th blue ribbon for best pickle. Aunt Bee thought the boys liked her pickles so much she doubled the batch!!
