Here, when you consider who was in the room, it was a smack down of epic proportions too. Their response was practically “free speech must be controlled and this speech was unacceptable”, some commenting that if it weren’t the USA VP it would be arrestable. Talk about falling on deaf ears.
Then they go on and on say “democracy” numerous times. It’s almost “we must crush democracy to save it” attitude. I don’t think it means what they think it means. Either they’re so stupid to believe their own BS (which means they’re fools) or they’re using it as a veil to disguise their new, deliberate, fascism. I don’t see an alternative.
What they’re beginning to realize, this speech, without being blunt, was telling them to either listen to your citizens on mass immigration, embrace real free speech, or we won’t consider you worth defending - kiss NATO support goodbye. I think this is just now sinking in.
