Nothing new there. Read "The Flying Inn" by G. K. Chesterton, a novel published in 1914. It's fiction, but there's quite a bit of truth in it.

What England needs is a Trump-esque LEADER who will galvanize other leaders/officials to be strong and fight. They, like many in this country, have been neutered and demoralized.
