The EU nations had 3 years to have peace talks. They wanted to keep fighting until the US ran dry of $$ and/or when they succeeded in regime change, and installing a puppet, in Russia.

Europe and Ukraine must be shocked.

The entire Rules Based Order is on it’s ear.

Soon to be no more.

And there no way they can complain they didn’t see it coming. Every POTUS since HW Bush has been warning them.

"There's no way in which we can have discussions or negotiations about Ukraine, Ukraine's future or European security structure, without Europeans," Finland's President Alexander Stubb told reporters in Munich.

"But this means that Europe needs to get its act together. Europe needs to talk less and do more."

Well ... yes.

The only thing European NATO allies need to know after the adults work out the truce is how many of their troops will be needed as cease line fodder to install at the buffer between Ukraine and Russia. Until then, they should repair the Nordstream pipeline Biden blew up so they can get back to importing Russian gas they said they would never import

Maybe they will kick the US out of NATO. We can only hope.

Europe will not be part of Ukraine peace talks...

Great idea!

That means the USA will pay for every thing.

And, the best bonus - hundreds of thousands of Ukraine refugees will become USA citizens and vote for the Democratic Party.

That IS what is going to happen.

What is this clown going to do about it?

Nailed it.

Let Europe concentrate on its "European Values" like abortion, promotion of homosexuality, transgenderism, crazy, economy-destroying "green" policies, opening its gates to grifting Third World savages and hunting down and destroying anyone who questions those ruinous things. That's just about all Europe's good for now.

Maybe the eurotrash should demand our respect by threatening us with their powerful armies. Oh, wait...

Geez, you people are simple minded. The EU have not been a monolith when it comes to Ukraine, especially early on. Naftalie Bennet described that quite clearly. The UK was hawkish (much as you describe), the US was waffling (Biden probably forgot whatever he’d said the previous day), and countries like Germany wanted negotiations. Macron supported negotiations too, but doubted the situation was resolvable. (After a phone call with Pooty, Macron told the media “this will get worse.” That really stuck in my mind, esp. after negotiations collapsed and Bennet opined that, at that point, resolution by negotiation would not work — everybody seems to forget that.)

Ultimately (as described by Bennet) the US hopped on the UK bandwagon, and that was the driving factor thereafter.

The Germans sort of sat on their position until 2024, then abruptly kicked up their defense budget considerably (slightly passing the NATO 2% target in 2024.) Maybe they feel more confident now that RheinMetall is popping out 3 million artillery shells a year? It’s hard to say, but they seem even more hawkish since Trump won — maybe it’s just a kneejerk reaction to do the opposite of Trump.

The Euros can’t come up with the peacekeeping troops needed, which wouldn’t be accepted by Pooty anyway, the US won’t provide backup if those troops get attacked, and then you expect the Euros to agree to ROE (etc.) they had no say in determining?

Moreover, any Euro soldier who could would wisely retire, and recruitment would drop to near zero.

Whatever you are smoking, keep it far away from me.
