The Kremlin on Friday called for clarification on recent remarks by US Vice President JD Vance regarding the possible deployment of American troops to Ukraine and new anti-Russian sanctions, saying these statements introduce “new elements” in Washington’s position.
Speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia expects further explanation during upcoming contacts with US officials.
"We have not heard such formulations before, they have not been expressed previously," Peskov said. "Naturally, during the very contacts we discussed, we hope to receive further clarification."
In an interview with the US media, Vance said the option of sending the US military to Ukraine "remains under consideration" by Washington in case Moscow refuses to resolve the conflict. He added that the US could use both "economic and military leverages" against Russia.

I see you are not familiar with how the real world works.
Carrot and stick is how President Trump works.
Best friend or worst enemy. Your choice!
Yep
It's not clear where the WSJ concocted this headline. The report was so far from the truth that X slapped down a community note on the WSJ report. Gateway Pundit, 14 February 2025
Boots on the ground is how Vance thinks, not Trump. Trump is right in the middle of negotiating peace and ending the war. A threat of boots on the ground could just destroy all trust from Putin and upset the talks. Trump is NOT stupid enough to sabotage his own positive position with Putin by threatening boots on the ground at this stage in the game. Only a Warhawk would do this to make sure there is no end to the war.
It was dumb to even mention it...
See post 23.
“Best friend or worst enemy. Your choice!”
It is not a position of either or. One does not have to like EVERYTHING someone does “or else”. Nor should they be put in that position.
I also liked the Grateful Dead. But I never became a dead head or made Jerry Garcia a God like most... There is a line of common sense and prudence so that one does not become star struck and follow blindly without question. Want to hear something real heretical? I didn’t like EVERY song the Grateful Dead did either...
JD Vance did not “pledge” “economic sanctions” or “military action”.
This is what was actually said: “I think certainly — look, there, there are instruments of pressure, absolutely. And again, if you look at President Trump’s approach to this, the range of options is extremely broad,” Vance said. “And there are economic tools of leverage. There [are], of course, military tools of leverage.”

In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Kremlin seeks clarification on US stance over potential troop deployment to Ukraine, marcusmaximus wrote: "Thankfully, the bravery of the Ukrainians and allies that came alongside them, especially early in the war, deterred and defeated Vladimir Putin from achieving what he wanted, which was all of Ukraine," Hegseth said. Asked whether Putin would be "emboldened" by a negotiated settlement that awards him large swaths of Ukrainian territory, Hegseth said the Russian leader is "going to declare victory no matter what," but that Putin had fallen far short of his initial military objectives. Looks like your quotes are FAKE NEWS.
The one and only website hosting the first statement in your Hegseth Quote is Ukrainian.
That article cites CNN for the quote, but CNN does not contain that content.
Interestingly, the POLAND PRAVDA carries it's own version but you can tell it's translated into awkward English, so it likely came from the Ukrainian site which links to the CNN page which lacks the original statement.
Here's what I found on CNN,. After Hegseth said 'anything is possible', he said it was unlikely':
Speaking earlier in Warsaw, Poland, Hegseth said his job has been “to introduce realism to the conversation” by telling Ukrainian and European officials that “the reality is Ukraine membership in NATO as part of a negotiated settlement (is) unlikely.”
There's another slavic website which has a variation of Hegseth's comments which is not found in American press - apparently they are all translated versions of Ukrainian fake news. Here's the link
In an article complaining about Hegseth, New Republic said this:
"Hegseth also said Wednesday that Ukraine returning to its prewar borders—before Russia annexed Crimea in 2014—would be “unrealistic,” effectively forcing Ukraine to cede territory to Russia in another striking reversal of the U.S. and NATO’s previous position regarding the former Soviet territory."https://newrepublic.com/post/191512/pete-hegseth-russia-ukraine-negotiations
You just don’t tell someone who is just as big and strong as you are that you plan to slap them across the face. You are not going to get out of it for free. Especially if you are already beating them in a game of pool that would settle the issue without anyone needing to slap anyone.
Finish the game of pool first, then make a new plan going forward from there if that didn’t work. It needs to be approached step by step or you are not even going to get close to it. The fourth grade playground bully tactics never do work out in the end. Putin is learning this right now.
The adults need to discuss it without the kids getting in the way.
Hegseth’s words.

Prove it. Find a link from a reputable news source. No links, means fake news. I supplied links and quotes - you supplied fake news without links.
You can’t wish his words away.
It’s a distraction. That sums up Vances trip to the EU/Britain. Meanwhile we made an unannounced trip to Russia, Trump and Putin had decent dialogue on a phone call, details are available on US and Russian sites(they match, doesn’t happen often). They will sit down, leaving Zelinski, the EU and the UK out of the discussion. Boy are they all pissed about it. Trump doesn’t want them to have a chance to screw it up. School is in... Very entertaining!

You posted fake news with false Hegseth quotes and can't post a legitimate link. So you're down to time-wasting taunts. They must pay you by the word.
I guess no sock drawer for you tonight, maxiboy!
