It’s true. I got to see two truly consequential Republican presidents in office. Actually thrree. Nixon was pretty consequential for me, on a personal level.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remarkable and quite moving statement by RFK Jr.
Not clear about your Nixon thoughts. To me, I thought he was a decent, patriotic man. He started off the bat with the lefty pols and press having a boner against him as he helped take down their beloved pet, Alger Hiss.
Nixon got a bum rap. To this day, Woodward and Bernstein make sure no other current political ‘exposes’ exceed theirs.
Lying snakes both, and old enough to remember.
I certainly agree about the injustices Nixon endured.
His opening of China (”playing the China Card”) was consequential, but I don’t think it was as momentous as RWR’s bringing the USSR down, the boogieman of decades.
And even Nixon’s accomplishments eclipsed those of any Democrat President of my lifetime, except (I suppose) Kennedy, because of the Apollo program. Their main achievements were weakening America whilst lining their own pockets, and those of their fellow Democrats. All of them. LBJ, Carter, Clinton, Obama, and Biden. Small men who accomplished nothing positive.
