For the past year or a little more, every Wal*Mart self checkout I have used had a camera watching me. Video doesn't do much good if it isn't used ....

As for receipts ... they never ask to see mine. Is it "Old Man Privilege" or "White Privilege"?

Simple way around that. Grab the tag off the cheapest bra, or whatever, and grab the most expensive. That way the receipt says bra. Might not turn everything into $1 but would get you a good discount. You’d have to be pretty good at slight of hand.

You’re talking about my major criticism re WM and other retailers that do not check receipts. Shopped WM a thousand times and was only ONCE asked to show a receipt. I thanked the Greeter for asking and told her I believe every single customer should have to produce it before exiting the store with merchandise. The level of theft is unbelievable in today’s market and it probably increases the price of commodities by at least 5%.
