Is this grounds for terminating their husbands?
Certainly grounds for divorces by SOLID MILITARY MEN.
If any are spouses of officers & the word gets back to their rater or endorser on their efficiency report, a well-crafted sentence in that report could bring a career to an early end. This assumes the command structure has not been compromised by DEI.
Might put a dent in their promotions!
It certainly impacts their promotability.
I've been retired for many years now, so what I am going to say is from yester year.
No, their spouses will not be affected at all, BUT the protestors can be prohibited from entering the base even if their assigned house is aboard the base. In 1993, I had a sergeant whose wife was a piece of work. If she had any issues with her husband, she called or visited her chain of command (me). That wife was seriously off balance. We warned her husband that he needed to get her understand that we would not allow her to continue. When the dust settled, she was removed from her base housing and not allowed to enter the base. She got a divorce and he got the kids. This was before cell phones, but as recently as 2004, my base had a list of phone numbers that were not allowed to be connected to base telephones (because the base had its own telephone system- to include 911).
Not terminate ... seriously re reconsider rank for them
