Kind and thoughtful, but in denial about the basic requirements for health. Children can be cruel and I’m glad she stood up for truth, but she and her dad should become health partners in trimming down together. Getting simple carbs out of their diets is probably all they need.

If you really love your child, you want them to lose weight if they should. A lifetime of obesity leads to definite long term health issues, which a lack of obestity can avoid.
