I’m a night owl. I really don’t like breakfast. Been depressed all my life, but then, a few years before she died, my mother told me that when she finally got to bring me home from the hospital, (I was a premie) “you wouldn’t let me hold you”, so she didn’t. Yeah. Bummer. Explained a lot.

Contrary to what has been programmed into us, some folks do NOT do well if they eat early in the day.

If I eat before 8:30, my entire day is ruined. I get logy, tired and cannot motivate to save my own neck.

I do far better eating around 10-11, then nothing but fluids until 6-7 pm.

A cup of plain hot coffee and 2 slices of toast w jam. If hungry an hour later I get a breakfast burrito or something.

Me, I can’t function unless I have a good breakfast before I go to work.
I usually have scrambled eggs with a small dollop of mayo mixed in, along with cut-up turkey sausage patties, and topped with shredded cheese. Sometimes, I’ll substitute the turkey sausage patties with beef bacon (I do my best to eat kosher). I’ll also have a slice of toasted whole grain bread with butter.
I used to love to have hash browns as well, but I had tp.drop those when I had to get serious about my blood glucose.

Big breakfasts were associated with a 30% decrease in depression.

Studies show that skimpy breakfasts after an invigorating round of "bedroom activity" were associated with a 90% decrease in depression.

Brought to you by Waffle House. LOL.

Well, this story is certainly a welcome one, true or not. Time to put it into practice.

Did I mention how much I love bacon?

I say BS! I do not eat a large breakfast as it is a contributing factor to excess weight gain. A protein drink and hard boiled egg or piece of cheese works great.

My blood test results and vitals are near perfect. I am also very physically active. A big breakfast with associated weight gain would ruin all of this.

Depression and happiness has more to do with how one thinks than anything else.
