Markets are historically very high right now (lagging and forward PE’s) so this would be no surprise. It will take a while for earnings to catch up.
The idea that the first half of the year would be “choppy” has been talked about for a while now. The Markets are estimating the effect of Trump’s policies and that will take a while. Tom Lee was saying the same thing a month ago about a choppy first half but a nice second half. I’m sitting at about 70% T-Bills, 30% stocks, no need reach for the stars, the last two years have been great, a consolidation period feels normal.
Makes sense - also, anyone betting against Trump hasn't been watching him the last 9 years... 'choppy followed by win' is his style.

Agreed, all of the countries he’s hitting will fold, their economies are weak compared to the US. He obviously had all this analyzed before he made his moves.
You're right - Trump can be casual in his speech but he's never casual in his 'on the paper' contracts/decisions....
