Fort Liberty is no more. It was formerly known as Fort Bragg during the Biden presidency in a push to give military facilities named after Confederate generals a woke makeover.
It was part of that weird period where liberals were obsessed about the names of things, statutes, and other silly stuff that was a blatant attempt at erasing American history. With Trump winning the 2024 election, he promised to get Fort Bragg’s name back.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made it official, though there’s a little twist. It’s renamed Fort Bragg, not after Confederate Gen. Braxton Bragg but Pfc. According to Lucas Tomlinson, Roland L. Bragg is a World War II hero.

I love my President!
Airborne All The Way!
I want another statue of Robert E. Lee erected on the former pedestal in Richmond as a Federal site.
Sorta. They compromised by not using the confederate guy but found another guy by the same name.

Frustrating, but if you listen to Pete, his test is whether any of his decisions contribute to unity in the military. He must have concluded that going back to Braxton Bragg was have angered a large portion of his men.
Lest We Forget...Those were someone's sons.
The South was totally forgiven and welcomed back into these United States of America.
Now if Trump could get the Saudis to rebuild the World Trade Center the way it was.
Turn it into a 100 story jail cell/homeless shelter. Make then climb 100 flights to get fed and exercised. No need for health care.
Ironically that was one of the better name changes. Here in Texas they renamed Fort Hood to Cavazos, after some nobody Hispanic American general.
Of course the pathetic statue of Arthur "AIDS" Ashe still lives there.
I want a restoration of all historical monuments regardless. The civil war is an important study to understand the context of the USA.
Looks like political correctness won again.

Indeed recall how the media tried to pimp the story that it was renamed because a Confederate Gen.
MSM sluts for the left
we don’t want buildings built with 50 year old technology that includes obvious deadly flaws.
DA Alvin Bragg? (shudder)
Some things I just cannot wrap my head around.
That’s a barf worthy post. lol.
No...It’s named after Gen. Bragg, a confederate soldier. Words cannot change it.
A nobody, Hispanic general who was just posthumously awarded the medal of honor for his actions in Korea.
I am all in for President Trump. However the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico modifies a significant portion of history. Just like the modification of Civil War’s events and result.
Historically the Gulf was first explored by Europeans in the early 16th century. Rest assured other humans had knowledge of that body of water. The earliest maps referred to it as Seno Mejicano or Golfo de la Nueva España. However, it was officially named Golfo Mexicano on the 1569 Mercator map. History is frequently modified to further an agenda.
Significant events we may never have heard, or will hear, about are erased of modified to further an agenda.
