Decoding Islam’s notorious resistance to assimilation in the West is as simple as understanding the doctrine’s relational values.
Despite its religious veneer, Islam can easily be defined and understood by one non-religious word: tribalism.
This is key. The entire appeal of Muhammad’s call to the Arabs of his time lay in its perfect compatibility with their tribal mores, three in particular: loyalty to one’s tribe; enmity for other tribes; and raids on the latter to enrich and empower the former.
For seventh-century Arabs—and later tribal and pastoral peoples, such as the Turks and Tatars, or Mongols, who also found natural appeal in, and converted to, Islam—the tribe was what humanity is to modern people: to be part of the tribe was to be treated humanely; to be outside the tribe was to be treated inhumanely.
Muhammad reinforced this ancient dichotomy of tribalism, but by prioritizing religion over relatives. Thus, in his “Constitution of Medina,” which he promulgated with various non-Muslim tribes in 622, he asserted that “a believer shall not slay a believer for the sake of an unbeliever, nor shall he aid an unbeliever against a believer.” Moreover, all Muslims were to become “friends one to the other to the exclusion of outsiders.”
Hence the umma, which is often translated as “Muslim nation,” was born. Etymologically connected to the word “mother,” (umm) the umma came to signify the Islamic “Super-Tribe,” a universal tribe that transcends racial, national, and linguistic barriers, encompassing any and all who identify as Muslims.
And, its natural enemies remained everyone outside of it.
Again, this is basic tribalism 1.0, though, as mentioned, with religious dressing.
Or consider the Islamic doctrine of al-wala’ wa’l-bara’ (translated as “loyalty and enmity,” or “love and hate”). Muhammad preached it, and the Koran commands.

It’s a religion based on pure animalistic pack instinct—there is nothing spiritual about it. Instead of “love thy enemy”, Muslims are told to hate their enemies and only love their friends. But that’s just instinctive; we do it anyway. It requires no discipline.

I’d use a different word...’supremacy’. Muslims believe they are superior humans, if you’re not Muslim you’re NOT human. Throughout history, they’ve been honest about why they think they can treat non-Muslims the way they do....their answer, “because the Quaran tells us we can”. All you have to do is listen to what they’ve said over and over.
They want ‘global domination’. It is that simple. Why would you import them?
You say mass insanity, but the author does a good job identifying tribalism as a survival trait in the right environment. There are values in the cults you list that the West should share, though, of course, many it shouldn’t.
I have many Mormons around me and in many ways, they are a beautiful people. However, it is true that I would not even trust a Mormon to “aid an unbeliever against a believer”. This is how these minority cults survive in the West. Maintaining identity is a challenge, especially when physical characteristics do not help.
The problem, I believe, is individual insanity. These tribes promote leaders and many lead them to ruin. Members of tribes need to have a healthy distrust of their leadership. By the time the Kool Aid comes out, it’s too late.
Yep, it is literally the opposite of Christianity, which is why it is so sinister, claiming to be an extension of it. Of course it does, it muddies the water in trying to understand that it isn’t.

The “religion of peace” has been doing this for 1400 years. They continue to do it now, there are few Jews/Christians in vast areas of the Middle East, they are killed or forced out. They are coming for us eventually.
Most who have read the Koran eventually come to the understanding that Islam is one giant tribe. Its operations are not much different than the Tribes in the Old West and the solution to dealing with them successfully are similar.
“Tribalism” is an expression of an abjectly primitive and backward world view (if that's what it can be called). In order for this mentality to function and endure, gender apartheid must be rigorously maintained. With fully 50% of the people sitting at home with a sheet over their heads and excluded from dicision-making, Muslim countries will ALWAYS be backward, violent and impoverished.
Incessant warfare is built into that kind of thinking and assimilation of any kind or at any level will be impossible.
The laws of Islam separate men from women, and then blame the women if anything sexual happens as a way to keep order in a tribal society. It’s quite misogynistic, yet the West is importing such people into modern Western feminist society. The culture clash is obvious to anyone who understands Islamic culture.

I got into a beef with another Freeper who made that same claim about FBI agents, viz. they were only doing their job but are really good people.
I have Mormons in my extended family. I studied Mormonism in depth, utilizing books I ordered from the Utah Lighthouse Ministries.
That religion is corrupt from start to finish. They begin by rejecting the Holy Bible. That, in and of itself, is enough to eliminate them from polite society.
But their history and current doctrines are horrible to the point of frightening.
The Doctrine of Blood Atonement. Joseph Smith/PT Barnum said the blood of Christ was sufficient for most things, but in some things, only the sinner's own blood shed will suffice. I remember in the mid 1980s some mormon lunatic murdered his sister in law and cited that "doctrine" as justification. One of the crimes worthy of murder was to say something bad about their "prophet" Joe Smith.
I cannot have any respect for people who a) reject God's Holy Word and b) mindlessly follow a system that is steeped in ignorance.
They're in the same class as muslims and voodoo.
But the interesting thing is how many young American college girls, feminist to the core, fawn all over Islam. They have no idea what they are supporting and what it would mean for them to live in the Islamic world they support.
I believe you have more information, than I.
But, I still am a little envious of even cults that will not do to children what America has done. Child murder and mutilation are, to me, the mass insanity of which you originally spoke. The West has been led to this by the insane leadership of which I spoke, I believe.
We’re looking at the end result of the school voucher system.
