Musk could never have been described as a socialist, but he has said he voted for Obama and then Clinton.
During Trump’s first administration, he started to publicly make comments like “The United States as “[inarguably] the greatest country that has ever existed on Earth,” and “the greatest force for good of any country that’s ever been.”
Or “democracy would not exist any longer if not for the United States, saying that it prevented this disappearance on three occasions through its participation in World War I, World War II, and the Cold War”
He has also become more libertarian over this time, saying thing like “In general, I believe government should rarely impose its will upon the people, and, when doing so, should aspire to maximize their cumulative happiness,”
You could describe his views as “awakening.”
He is like most people - once one loses the vague, dreamy attachment to (fake) leftist slogans - one starts to see the vast leftist/statist lust for power and corruption underneath. Then anger and righteousness sets in.
That’s where he is now.
Why? Because there is no place left to go.
Look at what is happening in South Africa.
If fact, one motivation for Musk is to help the non blacks in his native South Africa.
Trump has set up a genuine , legit refugee program for persecuted South Africans .
No way any Democrat would do that.
Because now’s a really bad time to go back to SA
A lot of folks who voted for Trump three times, voted for Obama twice. Some people just take a little more time to wake up.
LOL yes, and some are rip van winkles
Because he loves the country and was disgusted that it was turning into the old Soviet Union?
“Why? Because there is no place left to go.”
Musk has a vision. T9 Mars and beyond.
Same reason as Trump, who had no reason other than love for the nation that has done so much for him. With both men, they knew going in that it would probably cost them.
Amen
Elon Musk's involvement in what has been described as an effort to "save the USA" through government efficiency, particularly with initiatives like the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), can be attributed to several factors:
Musk has substantial financial stakes in the United States through his companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and X Corp (formerly Twitter). The health of the U.S. economy directly impacts the success of his businesses. By aiming to reduce government waste and inefficiency, he could be seen as protecting his investments from the adverse effects of fiscal irresponsibility or economic collapse.
Musk's role in the Trump administration, particularly in cost-cutting measures, suggests a desire to exert influence on government policy. His involvement might also be viewed as an extension of his entrepreneurial strategy to innovate not just in technology but in governance, applying business principles to public administration.
Musk has publicly expressed concerns about government inefficiency and the need for innovation across various sectors. His efforts could reflect a broader philosophical belief in streamlining government operations for better service delivery, reducing national debt, and enhancing economic stability.
By associating himself with efforts to improve government efficiency, Musk might be aiming to bolster his public image as a problem solver on a national scale, not just in technology. This could be part of shaping his legacy as someone who impacts not just business but governance and societal structure.
His aggressive approach to government reform has not been without controversy, including lawsuits and public outcry over privacy and legal concerns. His actions could also be seen as a response to criticism, showing that his intentions are for the greater good rather than personal gain.
However, Musk's activities have sparked debates over the legality, ethics, and potential conflicts of interest involved when a billionaire influences government operations to such an extent. His motivations might be multifaceted, combining personal economic interests with a genuine desire to improve governance, but they are subject to various interpretations based on one's perspective on his actions and their implications for democracy and public welfare.
Well said.
Well said.
His son was castrated without his consent by the people he is now after.
That is enough

Like all of us....He wants to leave a better world for his children
Elon wants to destroy the movement that “killed” his son. He knows he can accomplish this by cutting off their money laundering machine.
Testing out quantum audit computing for his Boss!?!
Elon has had great success in life, now he is concerning himself only with BIG “unsolvable” problems.
- Space.
- Mars.
- Underground highway.
- BALANCED BUDGET and ending corruption in USA.
According to Democrats, these are all impossible, but ELON has made it his life mission to do some/all of these things.
“It’s worthwhile to ask just how much of his world-leading net worth comes from government help over the last 10 to 15 years. The answer is not simple.”
By some measures, little of his wealth is thanks to taxpayers. Musk is worth an estimated $326 billion, according to Bloomberg’s real-time billionaire tracker. His companies have received “only” tens of billions from government contracts and programs.
But in other ways, virtually all of his net worth can be pinned to government help. Tesla and SpaceX got started – and survived their early days – with assistance from state and federal policies, government contracts and loans. But do you see any gifts or handouts there? All of it was legit business or programs he competed with to get. And he has not defaulted on his commitment. And if he was getting all these gifts, why would he have to file for bankruptsy in both Tesla and SpaceX?
But Tesla’s most significant financial support is not from tax credits for EV buyers. It comes from the sale of regulatory credits that other automakers buy to comply with state and federal regulations aimed at reducing greenhouse gases. It takes a nichol to earn a dime.
A lot of people don’t like Musk, but his business is above board as much as anyone he shares a business with. And if you thing he’s getting some extras, complain to your congress person that signed the checks. They create the budget and spend your money.

“But the curious side of me is like, curious as to why EM is going all in for the USA.”
He’s likely out of places to run to.
