JUST IN: Ukrainian President Zelensky offers the US access to Ukraine's rare earth and mineral deposits in exchange for a security deal from President Trump.

Zelensky should’ve tried this angle years ago instead of working with the deep state to get Trump impeached. Now he can’t be trusted.
And while you’re at it Z-Boy, toss in 1000’s of records of fraud, thievery, money laundering from the US politicians (and Hunter while you’re at it) the last 15 years, you might get something in return.
When Trump announced his candidacy, I posted the “perfect 30 second phone call” deal that Trump would negotiate with Z.
“Hello, Zelensky, this is President Trump. You have received your last dime and bullet from the American taxpayer. STFU and listen! I’ll ensure that the Russians will negotiate in good faith. Your dumb arse should have stuck with Minsk. Goodbye!”
DEAL!
All that blood and treasure for nothing.
Now he’s talking Trump’s language!
“Sure thing, Z: give back all the $77 billion - ALL of it - and I’ll see you get out of this alive. You have 30 seconds.”
Zelensky has an unavoidable date with a noose.
One Million Dead Slavs in the CIA engineered Slavic Civil War. Why would the CIA and Shadow State engineer such a horrendous thing?
To Kill One Million Slavs.
Lindsey Graham: “The Russians are dying... it’s the best money we’ve ever spent.”
The Zelensky has offered to work in the Rare Earth Mines for free if President Trump prevents Zelensky's fellow Homo Nazis from hanging him.
He should have offered the deal BEFORE forcing Russia to invade, as now he doesn’t even control most of the deposits.
OK, Zyl, give back all the money and we won’t have you shot. Or, turned over to the guys who opposed you whom you sent to jail.
A deal without Putin is Cotton Candy while the dying continues.
We would have access to that even if a “deal” was never made.
First, there has to be a legitimate government there to work with.
Zelensky has figured out Trump’s “deal” requires the US to guarantee Ukraine’s security, lest we lose access to the strategic rare earth minerals, etc. It leaves Ukraine in a position to play two morally equivalent hegemons off each other. Grasping this tar baby seems likely to end, sooner or later, with direct US military involvement in the current war or its successors.
Russia’s original casus belli had three legs: control and exploitation of Ukraine’s mineral resources; protection of ethnic Russians from Ukrainian nationalists; and, keeping Russia’s underbelly free of NATO (mix in Putin’s dreams of a Eurasian political-economic empire under Russian “leadership”). Presumably a peace deal would give Russia permanent control of the people and mineral resources of Donetsk, Lukhansk, etc., and Black Sea oil/gas off the coast of Crimea. If Russia finds “Trump’s mineral deal” acceptable as part of a peace deal, Putin will have a hard time convincing anyone that his war aims were achieved. No way will they accept it.
Would Russia accept any deal that leaves Zelensky in power? After this long and costly conflict I can’t imagine that it would. I suspect Trump knows that Zelensky will have to go.
“Zelensky has an unavoidable date with a noose.”
He would be best served not to enter buildings higher than five stories.
OK if “security deal” means supplying weapons to hold off the Russians until a settlement is reached, but if it means sending U.S. troops, the answer is not no, but HELL NO!
Will Howie Mandel be hosting the Deal or No Deal game?
I wouldn’t think so, though Lavrov has made noises to the effect that even though Zelensky has legitimacy problems, Russia would treat with his government.
Trump has commented that Ukraine needs a free and fair election, with the obvious implication that holdover Zelensky is not fully legit. Any national referendum or election in Ukraine is problematic for many reasons, including the question of what territory gets to vote? How about the millions in exile? The occupied populations of Donetsk, Lukhansk, Crimea, etc.? With vast numbers killed and displaced, what would the voter roll be? Big mess from Winetka.
