I have hope for my nephews/nieces and their kids now.
Whether by ill fortune or the will of God, I will probably never have children. I do work with children on a regular basis however. And not long ago I helped start up a troop of Trail Life boys. It has been greatly on my mind: what kind of a country are people like me leaving for our children?
For the first time in my life, I am coming to have hope that we may yet leave them something to be proud of.
The left needs lots of planning to do anything. They can’t really do anything on the fly.
The current thinking among conservatives is that Trump needs to continuously hit hard and fast. Because the left does not have the bandwidth anymore for rapid response.
More importantly perhaps too. Trump has been taking down their funding sources.
The big leftist political are usually rented out.
Finally, there is kind of dull incomprehension on the leftists part that the world has changed. I used to see that in republicans all the time. The world had changed but they were talking to a world disappeared 20 before.
A lot of my old high school buddies. They have not changed their internal thinking since they were in their 20’s or roughly 50 years ago.
Aging white leftists are a core constituency of the democrat party. They’re more loyal than anyone else.
I look forward to the day NPR is defunded.
